Abstract

509,391. Stud-and-slot fastenings. CARR FASTENER CO., Ltd., and WAGSTAFF, G. March 7, 1939, No. 7379. Addition to 509,162. [Class 44] A fastener of the kind claimed in the parent Specification is secured to one of the members to be fastened by means encircling the arms and retained by the flexible tongues. As shown applied to the form of fastener having curved arms 4 which together form a substantially tubular shank, the fastener is secured to the apertured member 7 by a ring 1 with central web 2. The ring is placed over the arms 4 and snapped past the tongues 6 by which it is retained, web 2 lying between the arms. Short projections may replace the web. A washer 9 may previously be passed on to the stud and disposed immediately under the head 3.
