497,469. Fastening wearing - apparel. SMITH, W E. May 18, 1938, No 14821. [Class 141] A detachable shoulder strap supporting device comprises a strip of material 10 having a snap or other fastener element 11 adjacent one end, the other end being formed as a loop 15 which is secured to the strip 10 by a snap or other fastener element 13, the elements 11, 13, being adapted to cooperate with each other to form a loop 14 through which the shoulder strap passes, and the lateral ends of the loop 15 being provided with complementary snap or other fastener elements 17, 18, which are adapted to receive between them the inturned portions 19 of the garment just below the shoulder seam, for securing the device to the garment. The elements 11, 13, are disposed on one side of the device, and the elements 17, 18, of the opposite side thereof. The strip 10 extends beyond the element 11 to form a finger hold 12. In a modification, the cross-piece 22 of the loop 15 may be dispensed with.
