Abstract

171,814. Palmer, S. Sept. 8, 1920. Studs.-Relates to studs of the kind provided with a hinged clip preventing accidental fall of stud from button-hole. According to the invention, the base a is of rectangular outline and has upturned lugs b in which the clip C is hinged, and a spring g is secured to the base by the stud stem f or a spring tongue is stamped out of the base or the clip, whereby the clip is held in its closed and open position by the spring action at its tail c<1>. The clip C has two limbs, one on each side of the stud stem f.
