Abstract

Fastening wearing-apparel; suspenders.-In garment-suspenders of the type having a plate or the like d attached to the garment and a connection a with a T-shaped head attached to a strip or chain c, the plate d is slotted and sewn to the garment either in flat form, as shown in Figs. 1 and 4, or doubled on itself, as shown in Fig. 5, to form two spaced eves f. In the former construction the plate is bent at k for engagement by a spring g which normally closes the slot in the plate against the removal of the T-shaped head of the connection a, but which is capable of being depressed by engaging the stud h, thereby freeing the member a as shown in Fig. 4. In the modification, Fig. 5, the connection a is itself a spring and the two links may be sprung together.
