547,084. Rope grips. WHITE, J. W., and VALBERG, C. O. April 18; 1941, No. 5027. [Class 78 (ii)] A rope grip comprises a pair of arms 13, 14 pivoted at 15 on the frame of a wagon or the like, the operating ends of the arms being drawn together by a spring 19 so as to release the rope 18 andbeingpressed apart to cause the jaws 16,17 to grip the rope by cam mechanism on a spindle 6 which carries a lever 7 having rollers 8, 9 adapted to engage track stops or ramps to tighten or release the grip. In the construction shown the spindle 6 carries a cam 10 engaging between a pair of stops 11, 12 adjustable on the arms 14, 13.
