Abstract

371,818. Rope grips. BLACK, R., Mollinsburn, Croy, Glasgow. Jan. 23, 1931, No. 2237. [Class 78 (ii).] A clip for attach. ing hutches to a travelling rope comprises a bent spindle 1 and jaws 6, 7. The spindle is pro. vided at one end with an arm 3 having an eye 4 to engage the draw-bar of a hutch. The jaw 7 is in threaded engagement with a stem 8 formed integral with a collar 9 which is mounted loosely on the spindle 1. The rope 10 is prevented from falling when the grip is released by an arm 13 which is pivoted at 14 to the jaw 6. The grip is applied &c. by partial rotation of the arm 3.
