Rope grips. - A haulage rope grip comprises a housing a into which a pair of jaws b connected by a bolt d and having tapered or converging outer surfaces is adapted to be drawn by a screw f so as to grip the haulage rope c. The screw is moved positively in either direction by the rotation of a nut g, this nut being prevented from axial movement by brackets h. A spring e tends to open the jaws, and the rope is prevented from rising too high in the open grip by lugs s formed on each jaw and passing across into a recess in the other jaw.
