Abstract

Feb. 1, 1918 Centrifugal governors.-A governor for controlling the fuel pumps of an internal-combustion engine comprises weights 30<1> pivoted on lugs 39 or a flange 24 of a hub 22 on the governor shaft 20. The weight levers engage a sleeve 33 enclosing a spring 38, which abuts on a sleeve 40. The sleeve 40 is adapted to be depressed by a sleeve 42 engaged by a hand lever 43, 46. The movement of the governor weights is transmitted to the valves through the sleeve 33 and lever 35. A spring 25<1> between the hub 22 and sleeve 33 raises the sleeve 33 when the lever 46 releases the sleeve 42. The governor is enclosed in a casing 52.
