Abstract

1,213,107. Carrier cartons. S. A. FISCHLEIN. 2 June, 1969 [7 June, 1968; 9 Jan., 1969], No. 27817/69. Heading B8P. A collapsible carrier carton is erected by folding a blank along lines 2-4, Fig. 1, to tubular form, securing the edge of a panel 32a to the edge 1 of a panel 31, and folding-in flaps 34, 34a; 36, 36a to make the top and bottom, Figs. 2, 3, of the carton, panels 33, 33a; 35, 35a with diagonal fold lines 13, 14 &c. remaining in the planes, of panels 31 &c. to leave slots through which a carrier strap 25 is passed. The strap 25 is closed and passes around the outside of the bottom panels 36, 36a to support the weight of the carrier contents. When the carrier carton has been set down and the strap 25 released, the top panels 34, 34a may be flipped open, to reach the inside of the carrier. The carton may be inverted, the top becoming the bottom &c. In a modification, slots (27), Fig. 4 (not shown), are provided in fold lines 5, 7, 9, 11, Fig. 1, for the strap 25. The blank may be made of leather, plastics, paperboard &c. impressed with fold lines, or constituting separate panels secured to a layer of suitable foldable material.
