Abstract
1,200,923. Lubricants. TOKYO SHIBAURA DENKI K.K. 21 July, 1967 [26 July, 1966], No. 33750/67. Heading C5F. Seizure is prevented between metal component parts which are normally relatively immovable and are operated at elevated temperatures by applying between the contacting surfaces finely divided flakes of mica having grain sizes passing through 20 mesh Tyler standard screen. Preferably the mica flakes are first mixed with water, oil, molybdenum disulphide or graphite. Examples of mica which may be used are Muscovite, Phlogopite, Biotite, Paragonite and synthetic mica.
