<PICT:0977577/C6-C7/1> <PICT:0977577/C6-C7/2> In a process of lubrication for metal frictional surfaces, an electric current is passed through lubricating oil between the metal frictional surfaces in order to reduce the friction, and to decrease an abrasion of the metal frictional surfaces. The lubricating oil may contain additives, such as organic phosphite compounds, for example, the amount of additives not exceeding 5% of the mixture. D.C. current is preferred and only a low voltage with 1-10 amperes is necessary. It is stated that metallic compounds are deposited on the surface.
