Abstract

A normally liquid lubricating composition, especially suitable as an extreme pressure lubricant comprises a mixture of zinc sulphide with one or more of the following: mineral oils, silicones and polyhydric alcohols (having at least 3 carbon atoms in the molecule, e.g. glycerine or glycols).
