Abstract

A solution of water-soluble sulphonate of castor oil of 1/2 to 10 per cent by volume is used as a lubricating and coolant solution in metal rolling, drawing and extrusion operations. The cloud point may be reduced by neutralizing with ammonia. The solution is immiscible to mineral oil contamination which may be decanted off.ALSO:A solution of water-soluble sulphonate of castor oil of 1/2 per cent to 10 per cent by volume is used as a lubricating and coolant solution in metal rolling, drawing and extrusion operations.
