Abstract

1,163,167. Cable glands. A. PALLAVICINI. 14 Nov., 1967 [9 Dec., 1966], No. 51824/67. Heading H2E. A cable gland comprises an axially bored, externally threaded body 1 having a tapered spigot 6 with a circumferential groove 9 into which the armouring 10 of a cable 16 is forced by a split ring 11 under pressure from the shoulder of an internally threaded union nut 12. A lock nut 5 and a collar 2 on body 1 secure the cable gland to the wall of a distribution box or the like.
