In a lead-in arrangement for a pressure vessel, the conductor 1, a sealing sleeve 3 and the aperture 4 in the wall are all tapered away from the inside of the vessel so that the pressure tends to improve the seal. The conductor may be threaded to receive a clamping nut 6 acting through an insulating ring 7, which together with the sleeve 3 may be of plastics material. The surface of the aperture in the wall may be slightly rounded.
