Abstract

1361492 Cable glands HAWKE CABLE GLANDS Ltd 12 April 1972 [9 June 1971] 19709/71 Heading H2E In a gland for an armoured cable 34, the cable armouring wires 36 are clamped between the tapered outer surface 22 of a first sleeve 20 and the tapered interior surface of a second sleeve 26, sleeve 20 being pushed into sleeve 26 when a cap 16 is screwed on to gland body 10, which may comprise a fixing and earthing flange 14. Sealing rings 29, 42, compressed on to the cable by a spigotal extension 28 of sleeve 26 and an end cap 38 respectively, may be provided. (For Figure see next column.)
