Abstract

1,192,250. Cartons. WILLIAM THYNE (HOLDINGS) Ltd. 26 Sept., 1968 [18 Oct., 1967], No. 47409/67. Heading B8P. A carton for an Easter egg &c. is formed from a blank comprising side panels 3, 4, 5 to which are joined, by concave fold lines 12, 13, 14 closure flaps 9, 10, 11 having tabs 18, 19 which interlock when the closure flaps are folded down after the carton has been formed by adhering the glue flap 6 to the panel 5. The concave outer edges 15, 16, 17 of the flaps 9, 10, 11 form circular apertures at the ends to support the contents, and side panels 4, 5 may have article viewing apertures 7, 8. The carton may have three or four side panels, and may be slightly tapered to permit stacking.
