Abstract

1,192,209. Printing-apparatus. SCHNELLPRESSENFABRIK FRANKENTHAL ALBERT & CIE A.G. 24 Nov., 1967 [1 Dec., 1966], No. 53558/67. Heading B6C. Apparatus suitable for securing a rubber blanket on to an offset roller comprises a rotatable spindle 4 located in a longitudinal bore 3 in the roller 1 and a plurality of stationary members 8 arranged within the bore in annular grooves 11 in the spindle, the spindle being provided with a longitudinal groove 5 adapted to receive the reinforced end pieces 7 of the blanket. The spindle is a close fit within the bore, except in the region of the grooves 11, so as to prevent deformation of the cylinder surface and is flattened in the regions such as (12), Fig. 3 (not shown), adjacent the groove 5. The members 8 are secured in position by screws 9 and pass through openings 10 when tension is applied to the blanket by rotating the spindle anti-clockwise.
