1387532 Printing press MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURG-NURNBERG AG 18 July 1973 [21 July 1972] 34308/73 Heading B6C An offset web printing perfecting press 1 has opposed blanket cylinders 2, 3 with associated plate cylinders 4, 5 in which the blanket cylinders lie one on each side of a plane 11 joining the axes of the plate cylinders, are twice the diameter of their associated plate cylinders and each has an axial groove 15, 16 offset with respect to each other so that a groove always faces the solid generated surface of the other cylinder in the nip between the cylinders. Plane 11 is preferably vertical and the line joining the axes of the blanket cylinders is at 15 degrees to it. For multi-colour work a series of presses 1, 1<SP>1</SP> is used.
