Abstract

116,201. Conner, M. S. Sept. 14, 1917. Receivers.-The magnetic circuit, formed by the maguet cores and the diaphragm of a telephone receiver, is shunted by a magnetic circuit which may be provided with an air-gap. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 1, the shunt magnetic circuit is formed by the magnetic cheeks D of the magnet coils C, the cheeks D being separated by an air-gap E. In the modification shown in Fig. 2, the shunt circuit is formed of fixed or adjustable iron pieces F attached to the polepieces B.
