Abstract

298,078. Jackson, L. Mellersh-, (Telefonaktiebolaget L. M. Ericsson). Sept. 26, 1928. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Oct. 2, 1928]. Magnetic instruments.-The pole pieces 7 of a telephone receiver are mounted at diametrically opposite points on an annular permanent magnet 1 of conical shape. The pole pieces and the permanent magnet are secured to a conical casing 2 of non-magnetic material by screws 10 and the diaphragm 4 is clamped between the casing 2 and an earpiece 5 which is held in position by a threaded ring 6. The receiver is supported in a funnel-shaped casing 3 which forms part of a hand combination set. The telephonic coils 8 are connected to terminals 11 the external heads 14 of which are adapted to engage contact springs. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) also states that the casing 3 may be omitted, the casing 2 being adapted to form part of the hand combination set. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
