Magnetic instruments. - The diaphragm 1 of a tele.- phone receiver is associated with several independent magnetic systems 2, differing in their characteristics. The magnetic systems may be similar and the distances of the pole-pieces from the diaphragm may differ, or the distances between the two poles of each system may be different. Each of these two elements may be adjustable for the individual magnetic systems. The magnet systems may also differ in size.
