Abstract

265,339. Mills, C. W. Dec. 10, 1925. Magnetic instruments. -The permanent magnet of a telephone receiver is constituted by a ring forming one pole and one or more cross strips of which the centre forms the other pole. The cross-strip B, which may be integral with the ring A, is dished as shown to accommodate the coil D and the pole-piece C which is provided with a screw adjustment in a soft iron bush E secured to the strip B. The coil D is preferably held stationary during this adjustment.
