329,621. Jackson, L. Mellersh-, (Siemens & Halske Akt.-Ges.). Dec. 20, 1928. Magneto-electric machines.-The field magnets of a magneto with a rotatable armature are horseshoe or like magnets arranged parallel to the armature axis and on opposite sides of it. In the arrangement shown, magnets 1, 2, 5, 6 are arranged in pairs on opposite sides of the armature axis 7 and their like poles are connected by soft iron pole-pieces 3, 4 between which is the armature 8.
