A tube 13 has an internal and external coating 15 of glass ceramic electrically-insulating material and a flange 14 which is clamped, with the interposition of washers 16, 17 between a fitting 11 and a screw-threaded cap 12. In a modification, the end of the tube is flared and clamped between frusto-conical portions of the parts 11, 12.
