Abstract

1,108,082. Pipe connections. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. 6 April, 1965, No. 57940/67. Divided out of 1,108,081. Heading F2G. A tube 30 is connected in fluid-tight manner and by a resilient bellows 36 of metal or an elastomeric material to a member 33 secured, as by welding 35, to a member 34 to form therewith a two-part bushing. The tube is screwed at 31 for connection to one part of a fluid duct system and the member 34 is screwed for connection to the other part of the system. The member 33 has a rectangular aperture 39 in which is received a rectangular shank portion 40 of the tube. The bellows 36 may be replaced by an elastomeric material to electrically isolate the plug from the tube, and the tube may be lined with a glass ceramic material.
