Automatic isolating valves.-A self-closing emergency stop valve of the type described in Specification 26421/12, in which a lift valve 3 is rotated to its closed position by the fluid flow acting on the vanes 5 secured to the valve member, has guide-vanes 6 formed on the casing and has the valve member formed or fitted with an internally screw-threaded part 2 adapted to engage a correspondingly threaded part on the spindle 1 used for manual actuation.
