103,014. Crossley, W. Jan. 29, 1916. Carding - engines. - The licker-in grid of a carding-engine is formed of tubular metal bars arranged to lie at an angle to the axis of the licker-in. The bars e are triangular in cross-section and may be straight and arranged obliquely, or vandyked or curved and arranged along or across the grid. The front edge d' of the grid is formed as a knife-edge, and a perforated grid f is secured behind the licker-in grid.
