382,737. Taker-in grids for carding- engines. CROSSLEY, S., Stansfield Road Works, Todmorden, Yorkshire. July 9, 1932, No. 28947/31. [Class 120 (i).] A taker-in grid for cotton and wool carding- engines, of the kind described in Specification 103,014, [Class 120 (i), Spinning, Preparation &c. for], comprises slots 6 formed by diagonal bars 7, Fig. 4, set at an angle not greater than 30‹ to the axis of the roller. The slots may extend across the grid 5, Fig. 4, or be arranged in two (or more) sets separated by a non-slotted portion 8, Fig. 1. In this latter case the two sets of slots may run in the same or in opposite directions.
