Abstract

L'alliage selon l'invention consiste en titane, 0,05 à 10 % en poids de a tantale et b niobium, zirconium ou un mélange de ces deux métaux, le tantale étant présent en proportion de 0,01 à 9,99 % en poids, et éventuellement 0,001 à 1,5 % en poids d'au moins un métal choisi dans le groupe formé par le platine, l'iridium, le rhodium, le ruthénium, le palladium et l'osmium, toutes les indications de % se rapportant au poids total de l'alliage Un tel alliage, utilisé avec des revêtements classiques, donne des électrodes dont la durée de service représente plus de 2 fois celle des électrodes comparables destinées à l'Iectrolyse de solutions aqueuses de sels ou d'acides.
