Abstract

Procédé pour la préparation de particules sphériques de carbone et de particules sphériques de carbone activé. Pour produire des particules sphériques de carbone ou de carbone activé, on mélange à un brai ou à une huile lourde une matière élevant leur point de ramollissement aromatiques nitrés quinones, anhydrides d'acides polycarboxyliques, une matière modifiant leur viscosité et éventuellement une matière additionnelle donnant une texture (hydrocarbures ou alcools supérieurs) compacte aux particules sphériques, on forme le mélange en sphères et on cuit entre 150 et 350 degrés C. Application à la préparation de sphères de carbone à partir de brais d'asphalte ou d'huiles lourdes à point de ramollissement inférieur à 150 degrés C.
