Förfarande för framställning av pärlglanspigment enligt patentkravet 1 genom beläggning av flisartade 20 substrat, i synnerhet glimmer, med ett metalloxidskikt innehällande järn och titan, kännetecknat därav, att först utfälls ett titandioxid- eller titan-dioxidakvatskikt, varvid utfällningen utförs pä i och för sig känt sätt sä, att Ti02-skiktets tjocklek före 25 glödgningen är ätminstone 40 nm och ett rutilskikt bildas vid glödgningen, och att före eller efter glödgningen av 1 detta pigment utfälls ett järnoxid- eller hydroxidskikt, vars tjocklek är ätminstone 20 nm, och pigmentet iso-leras, tvättas om sä önskas och glödgas. 30
