Claims (6)

1. Elektrod för en smält saltelektrolysenhet, vilken elektrod bestär av en självbärande stomme av sintrat pulver och en matris av oxid-förening av ätminstone en av följande metaller: titan, tantal, zirkonium, vanadin, niob, hafnium, aluminium, kisel, tenn, krom, molybden, volfram, bly, mangan, beryllium, järn, kobolt, nickel, platina, palladium, osmium, iridium, renium, teknetium, rodium; rutenium,guld, silver, kadmium, koppar, zink, germanium, arsenik, antimon, vismut, bor, skandium och lantanid- och aktinidseriens metaller, och ätminstone ett elektricitet ledande ämne, kanne-t e c k n a d därav, att Stminstone en del av stommens yta är försedd med en elektrokatalysator av metaller och/eller oxidföre-ningar av rutenium, rodium, palladium, iridium, platina, järn, kobolt, nickel eller silver eller oxidföreningar av mangan, arsenik, bly, antimon och/eller vismut eller deras blandningar, varvid elektrokatalysatorns mängd är 0,5 - 30 vikt-% av stommens vikt.
2. Elektrod enligt patentkravet 1, kännetecknad därav, att det elektricitet ledande ämnet bildar en liten del av den sintrade elektrodstommen och är en oxid av zirkonium och/eller tenn.
3. Elektrod enligt patentkravet 1, kännetecknad därav, att det elektricitet ledande ämnet bildar en liten del av den sintrade elektrodstommen och är ätminstone en metall av följande: yttrium, krom, molybden, zirkonium, tantal, volfram, kobolt, nickel, palladium och silver.
