Abstract

1. A method for making E-shaped core plates (1) and I-shaped return plates (2) fitting between the outer legs (6) of the same, for a choke or a transformer, in particular for use as an adapter for gas-discharge lamps, characterized in that two rows of E-shaped core plates (1) are punched with the open sides facing each other and abutting each other in offset arrangement so that the ends (10) of the abutting outer legs (6) of two neighbouring E-shaped core plates (1) abut the end of the middle leg (3) of the opposite offset E-shaped core plate and that the I-shaped return plates (2) are punched from the clear spaces formed between the outer legs (6) and the middle legs (3) of the E-shaped core plates (1) facing each other.
