Abstract

Procedimiento para mejorar el balance térmico y de este modo aumentar el coeficiente de chatarra al afinar arrabio en un convertidor, que tiene boquillas para introducción de oxígeno con envolvente de medio protector por debajo de la superficie del baño y que dispone de dispositivos para soplado superior con oxígeno por encima de la superficie del baño, caracterizado porque durante una parte esencial del tiempo de afino se introduce en la masa fundida de 20% hasta 80% de la cantidad de oxígeno de afino a través de uno o varios chorros gaseosos dirigidos hacia la superficie del baño.
