Abstract
Un método mejorado para reducir el coeficiente de fricción mostrado por las superficies de vidrio, consistiendo el método en la siguiente sucesión de operaciones: 1) mantener dicha superficie de vidrio a una temperatura comprendida entre 450 y 600ºC , mientras se aplica a dicha superficie de vidrio un trihalogenuro de monoorgano estaño vaporizado o finamente dividido, de la formula Rsnx3, en la que X representa un radical alcohilo que contiene entre 1 y 8 átomos de carbono inclusive, y x representa cloro, bromo, yodo o fluor; y 2) mantener la superficie de vidrio a una temperatura de 250 ºC o inferior, mientras se aplica a la superficie de vidrio un recubrimiento de una cera natural o de un polímero sintético.
