Abstract

1357274 Tin oxide and indium oxide coatings PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd 6 Oct 1972 [11 Oct 1971] 46211/72 Heading C1A A glass article is coated with a transparent electrically conductive coating consisting of doped tin oxide or indium oxide having a thickness of 0À007 to 0À02 Ám. and a surface resistance of between 1 and 10 kohm/square. The dopant used with tin oxide is fluorine in an amount of 0À1 to 2À0 atomic per cent and with indium oxide 0À1 to 2À0 atomic per cent of tin. The coatings are manufactured by pyrolitic deposition, on a heated substrate, from an aerosol which is obtained by spraying a doped solution of an indium compound or a tin compound with air.
