Semi-reflecting glaze contg. >=1 film of Au, Ag or Cu deposited on a transparent substrate and opt. >=1 layer of material reinforcing the adhesive power of the film, is provided with a protective layer of semi-conductive cpd. (I), e.g. cpds. which exhibit a quasi-metallic reflection in infrared range, pref. Sn oxide or In oxide, doped or in mixts, esp. In oxide contg. 20% Sn oxide, or TiN. Thickness of layer is such that the transmission spectrum of the basic layers is not changed appreciably.
