Abstract

Se presenta un proceso para activar catalizadores de cianuro metálico dobles. Un iniciador de poliol o una mezcla de iniciador/catalizador se calienta bajo vacío bajo condiciones efectivas para conseguir una extracción mejorada en comparación con las que se consiguen a través de la extracción bajo vacío convencional. La combinación de la extracción bajo vacío con una extracción o un rociado de un gas inerte en la presencia de un solvente orgánico da como resultado una mezcla de iniciador/catalizador que se activa rápidamente en un proceso de polimerización epóxido. La rápida activación da como resultado un proceso de iniciación fiable y reduce la duración del ciclo. El proceso permite obtener polioles con una menor viscosidad, una menor polidispersidad y una menor insaturación para obtener mejores poliuretanos.
