EL METANOL SE GENERA A PARTIR DE UN GAS DE SINTESIS QUE CONTIENE HIDROGENO Y MONOXIDO DE CARBONO EN CATALIZADORES QUE CONTIENEN COBRE, MEDIANTE PRESIONES DESDE 20 HASTA 120 BAR Y TEMPERATURAS DESDE 200 HASTA 350 PRIMERO A TRAVES DE UN PRIMER REACTOR DE SINTESIS, QUE ESTA CONFIGURADO COMO REACTOR DE POZO Y CONTIENE UN ESPONJAMIENTO DE UN CATALIZADOR QUE CONTIENE COBRE. LA TRANSFORMACION SE CONSIGUE EN EL REACTOR DE POZO DE FORMA ADIABATICA Y SIN CICLO DE GAS DE SINTESIS. LA MEZCLA DE GAS NO TRANSFORMADA EN EL PRIMER REACTOR DE SINTESIS SE GUIA CONJUNTAMENTE CON EL GAS DEL CIRCUITO A TRAVES DE UN SEGUNDO REACTOR DE SINTESIS, QUE MUESTRA UN CATALIZADOR QUE CONTIENE COBRE REFRIGERADO DE FORMA INDIRECTA POR MEDIO DE AGUA DE EBULLICION, DISPUESTA EN TUBOS. CON PREFERENCIA SE TRANSFORMA DESDE 10 HASTA 30 % DEL MONOXIDO DE CARBONO DEL GAS DE SINTESIS EN EL REACTOR DE POZO PARA FORMAR METANOL.
