Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for operating a textile machine that produces cross-wound bobbins, which has a large number of self-sufficient work stations, each of which has a spinning device and a winding device, and which is connected to a suction nozzle connected to the vacuum network of the textile machine for picking up a thread from the surface of a cross-wound bobbin as well as a storage nozzle, which is also connected to the vacuum network, for the temporary storage of excess thread length, and which is operated by at least one service unit, which, if necessary, exchanges full cheeses for empty tubes.
- the invention also relates to a textile machine that produces cross-wound bobbins.
- Textile machines that produce cross-wound bobbins such as open-end rotor spinning machines or air-jet spinning machines, usually have a large number of similar work stations arranged next to one another in a row, on each of which a thread is spun from a sliver that is placed in a sliver can, for example is then wound up to form a cross-wound bobbin.
- the workstations of such textile machines each have a large number of different devices, for example a spinning device and a winding device, and it has long been customary to act on the working elements of the workstations with machine-long drive means.
- the work stations of such textile machines are usually served by at least one service unit, which patrols along the work stations of the open-end rotor spinning machine and intervenes automatically when a need for action occurs at one of the work stations, for example as a result of a thread breakage.
- the service unit runs to the job in question, locks itself there and, with a pivoted suction nozzle that can be subjected to negative pressure, searches for the thread end of the torn thread that has accumulated on the cross-wound bobbin after the thread breaks.
- the pivotably mounted suction nozzle can be adjusted by means of an electric motor drive between a thread end pick-up position in the area of the surface of the cheese and a thread end transfer position in the area of the open-end rotor spinning device, while the stationary storage nozzle temporarily picks up the thread excess that occurs during the run-up of the work station.
- the suction nozzle and the storage nozzle are connected via a connecting line to a machine-long channel of the vacuum network of the textile machine and can be subjected to vacuum together via a valve or a slide.
- the suction nozzle and the storage nozzle are connected to the vacuum network independently of one another via separate connection lines.
- a closure means is connected to each of the connection lines, which enables the suction nozzle or the storage nozzle to be connected pneumatically to the vacuum network or to be disconnected from the vacuum network when the organ in question is no longer needed in the course of the piecing process.
- the suction nozzles and the storage nozzles which are relatively large consumers of vacuum, are only connected to the vacuum network of the textile machine for as long as they absolutely need vacuum.
- the object of the invention is to develop a method with which the operation of open-end rotor spinning machines that are equipped with self-sufficient work stations is optimized, in particular the period of time that is necessary to reconnect all work stations of the textile machine to re-spin is minimized. That is, with the inventive method to ensure that after a "Shutdown" of the textile machine ensures that the maximum number of self-sufficient work stations can start spinning again at the same time.
- This object is achieved according to the invention in that when the autonomous work stations of the textile machine are piecing again after a technical problem in which all work stations of the textile machine have been switched off, it is prevented that a cheese/empty tube change is carried out by one of the service units during the piecing process, so that it is ensured that when the autonomous jobs are piecing again, the maximum number of jobs is always piecing on again at the same time.
- the method according to the invention has the advantage that the temporary blocking of interventions by the service units prevents a reduction in the amount of suction air available in the vacuum network of the textile machine during the piecing processes of the autonomous work stations due to additional vacuum consumers. This means that it is ensured that during the re-piecing of the work stations of the open-end rotor spinning machine, the entire amount of suction air available in the vacuum network of the textile machine is always available for the piecing processes of the work stations and thus the maximum number of work stations can always be piecing at the same time.
- the central control unit of the textile machine is preferably prevented from sending work orders to one of the service units.
- Such a temporary renunciation of interventions by the service units prevents the number of, for example, 500 to 600 work stations of the textile machine from constantly being renewed at the same time during the re-piecing process attachable self-sufficient jobs decreases. This means that it is avoided that the number of jobs that can constantly be newly spun at the same time is about two lower than the number of jobs that can be newly spun at the same time if the vacuum net is not being used by additional consumers .
- the object is also achieved by a textile machine that produces cross-wound bobbins and includes a control unit for carrying out the method according to the invention.
- the central control unit which is present in any case is preferably modified for this purpose.
- the central control unit is then preferably designed in such a way that it does not issue any work orders to one of the service units during the re-piecing processes of the work stations after a technical problem in which all work stations of the textile machine have been switched off.
- the figure 1 shows a perspective view of a textile machine producing cross-wound bobbins, in the exemplary embodiment an open-end rotor spinning machine 1.
- the open-end rotor spinning machine 1 has a large number of autonomous work stations 2, which, among other things, as usual, are each equipped with a spinning device 3 and a winding device 4.
- the self-sufficient jobs 2 also have, as follows based on the figure 2 explained in more detail, each via a suction nozzle 18 that can be subjected to negative pressure and can be controlled in a defined manner, and via a storage nozzle 25 that can be subjected to negative pressure and can also be controlled in a defined manner.
- the open-end rotor spinning machine 1 is also equipped with two or more identical service units 5, which replace completed cheeses 7 with empty tubes 9 during normal operation and ensure that the work stations 2 are cleaned cyclically.
- the spinning devices 3 of the workstations 2 in each case a sliver presented in a sliver can 6 is spun into a thread which is then wound up on one of the winding devices 4 to form a cross-wound bobbin 7.
- the winding devices 4 are, as in figure 2 shown, each equipped with a creel 8 for rotatably supporting an empty tube 9 or a cross-wound bobbin 7 and with a winding drum 10 for rotating these elements.
- the open-end spinning machine 1 also has a central control unit 11 which is connected to the control devices 19 of the service units 5 and the control devices 13 of the work stations 2 via a bus system 12 . Furthermore, such open-end rotor spinning machines 1 have a cheese transport device 14 for disposing of finished cheeses 7 and an empty tube supply device, which essentially consists of an empty tube magazine 15 and tube feed tracks 16 .
- the service units 5 can be moved on guide rails, which are arranged on the open-end rotor spinning machine 1, and, as is known, have various handling devices (not shown) that enable the service units 5 to carry out a cheese/empty tube change or to clean the work places 2 .
- a work order exists, for example, when the cross-wound bobbin 7 has reached its predetermined diameter at one of the work stations 2 and has to be exchanged for an empty tube 9 .
- the figure 2 shows a perspective view of one of the autonomous work stations 2 of an open-end rotor spinning machine 1, in which the method according to the invention is used if necessary.
- Such jobs 2 are, as is known and therefore shown only schematically, each equipped with a spinning device 3 and a winding device 4, wherein the spinning device 3 in the region of a so-called thread withdrawal tube 21 a Piecing element 17 is arranged.
- the piecing element 17 By means of the piecing element 17, after a thread breakage or a controlled clearer cut, the thread 20 retrieved from the cross-wound bobbin 7 by the vacuum-loaded suction nozzle 18 is taken over and the thread end is prepared for repiecing.
- Such self-sufficient work stations 2 are each equipped with a thread take-off device 27, which both takes over the removal of the thread 20 from the spinning device 3 during regular spinning operation and also ensures that a prepared thread 20 is returned to the spinning device 3 in a defined manner during piecing.
- the winding device 4 has, as usual, a creel 8 for rotatably holding a cross-wound bobbin 7, a winding drum 10 that can preferably be acted upon by a reversible individual drive 22, and a thread traversing device 24, which is driven, for example, by means of a stepper motor 26.
- such self-sufficient work stations 2 each have a pivoted suction nozzle 18 that can be subjected to negative pressure and that can be adjusted in a defined manner by means of a stepper motor 28 between a thread take-up position in the area of the winding device 4 and a thread transfer position in the area of the spinning device 3. and via a storage nozzle 25, which can also be subjected to vacuum, which temporarily stores the excess thread length that occurs while the work station 2 is running up and ensures that the thread 20 produced in the spinning device 3 is wound up into a cross-wound bobbin 7 with the correct winding tension.
- Both the storage nozzle 25 and the pivotably mounted suction nozzle 18 are defined and can be subjected to negative pressure separately.
- the suction nozzle 18 is connected via a connection line 23 and the storage nozzle 25 via a connection line 32 to the textile machine's own vacuum network 30, the vacuum source in the figure 2 marked with the reference numeral 31.
- a closure means 29 or a closure means 33 for example a valve or a slide device, which can be controlled in a defined manner, is connected both to the connection line 23 and to the connection line 32.
- the locking means 29, 33 which are controlled via control lines 37 or 38 are connected to the control device 13 of the workplace 2 or to the central control unit 11 of the open-end rotor spinning machine 1, ensure that the suction nozzle 18 or storage nozzle 25 is subjected to vacuum as required or is separated from the vacuum network 30 of the open-end rotor spinning machine 1.
- the amount of vacuum that can be provided simultaneously by the vacuum network 30 of the open-end rotor spinning machine 1 is relatively limited due to the design of the vacuum network 30, in particular the cross section of the machine-long vacuum channel, it is advantageous in this context if, on the one hand, during the run-up processes the The suction air requirement of the individual jobs is minimized and on the other hand it is ensured that no further, additional suction air consumption is made during the start-up process of the open-end rotor spinning machine 1 .
- the present invention has made it possible to reduce the suction air requirement of the work stations 2 during the piecing process to such an extent that the number of people who are looking for a technical problem at the same time again splicable jobs 2 could be significantly increased.
- the method according to the invention which is used in particular when re-piecing a textile machine 1 producing cross-wound bobbins after a technical problem in which all work stations 2 of the textile machine 1 have come to a standstill, prevents the autonomous work stations from being spun during the simultaneous piecing processes 2 a service unit 5 can be active, which would activate an additional suction air consumer.
- a service unit 5 can be active, which would activate an additional suction air consumer.
- the central control unit 11 of the open-end rotor spinning machine 1 does not send a work order to one of the service units 5 even if there is a need at a work station 2 .
- Such work orders are only issued again when all of the, for example, 500 to 600 work stations 2 of the open-end rotor spinning machine 1 have been spun again.
