Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for operating a service unit for processing work orders relating to a cheese / empty tube change and a spinning machine producing take-up bobbins with at least one service unit that can be moved along the work stations.
  • piecing carriages are used in open-end spinning machines whose workplaces need help with a "normal" thread breakage as well as with a cheese / empty tube change.
  • service units are also known that work as changing and cleaning trolleys.
  • Such change and cleaning trolleys operate open-end spinning machines that have largely self-sufficient workplaces.
  • the workplaces of such open-end spinning machines each have, in addition to a spinning device for manufacturing a thread and a winding device for manufacturing a cheese, further functional elements that enable the workplaces to automatically start spinning again immediately after a thread break.
  • Such workplaces therefore only need the help of a mobile service unit when the workplace is to be cleaned or when a cross-bobbin / empty tube change is pending at one of the workplaces.
  • Such a cross-bobbin / empty tube change is usually carried out when the cross-wound bobbin has reached its prescribed diameter or a given thread length at one of the work stations and has to be exchanged for a new empty tube.
  • a so-called work order is reported by the workplaces, whereupon the service unit drives to the corresponding work place and positions itself in front of it.
  • An empty tube is requested and transported to the service unit or the work station via a tube feed track.
  • the service unit removes the full cheese from the package frame of the relevant work station and transfers it to a spinning machine's own cheese transport device.
  • the service unit also has a Gripping device with which the delivered empty tube can be removed from the tube feed track and inserted into the spool frame.
  • the service unit then ensures that the open-end spinning device is re-spun by means of a so-called auxiliary thread and that the new thread is attached to the empty tube that was previously replaced in the bobbin frame.
  • the work order is thus processed by the service unit and the service unit is available for the next work order, for example for processing the next cross-wound bobbin / empty tube change.
  • the open-end spinning machine has multiple batches, different empty tubes are generally used for different batches, so the optimal termination of the empty tube request is difficult.
  • the corresponding empty tube is transported to the work place and thus to the service unit and picked up by the latter with the gripping device and placed in the bobbin frame. If, however, the work order expires, for example because the job is malfunctioning and the empty tube therefore remains in the gripping device, the service unit can only serve a job that processes the same batch and thus requires the same empty tube.
  • the service unit cannot change the package / empty tube at any other workstation, even if one or more other workstations have reported a work order for this. This creates delays that can lead to undesirably long stoppages at work.
  • the DE 199 05 856 A1 discloses an open-end spinning machine having a plurality of work stations between its end frames. These workplaces are supplied by several service units during operation. If a cheese has now reached its prescribed diameter at one of the work stations, it is exchanged for an empty tube. This means that the service unit drives, for example notified by the central machine control, to the relevant work station and engages there.
  • the service unit which always carries an empty tube in its own store, first takes the finished cheese from the package frame of the relevant work station and transfers it to the cheese transport device located behind the work stations. The service unit then changes the empty tube it has brought with it into the reel frame of the job in question. At the beginning of the change cycle, the service unit also sent a sleeve request. This means that the order has been given to the tube delivery device to immediately send a tube to the area of the work site where the service unit is located currently working.
  • a service unit is requested and positioned at the work site for a package / empty tube change at a work site.
  • a tube is requested from the tube magazine, which is transported to the work site by means of a tube feed track. After the cheese has been removed from the bobbin frame, the service unit with the gripping device removes the delivered tube from the tube feed track and then changes it into the bobbin frame.
  • the U.S. 5,937,629 relates to a method for feeding winding devices of a textile machine with empty tubes on a textile machine, which contains a plurality of work stations arranged at least in a row next to one another, the component of which is a winding device and at one end of which a tube container is arranged, coupled with one along the row of the workstations of the textile machine arranged tube conveyor, along which a waiting device is adjustably arranged, which contains a handling means for moving a tube from the tube conveyor into the winding device.
  • the empty winding tube is inserted into the winding device by the handling means mentioned. If the attempt to resume the winding process is unsuccessful, the winding core is removed from the winding device by the waiting device.
  • a first aspect of the invention therefore relates to a method for operating a service unit for processing work orders relating to a package / empty tube change, which is used on spinning machines producing winding bobbins that process at least two different batches, with the service unit via its own spinning machine in a first method step
  • An empty tube is supplied to the tube feed track and, in a second process step, the supplied tube is picked up by the service unit.
  • the process is characterized in that if the current work order for the cheeses / empty tubes change at the job expires before it has been processed and the empty tube has been changed and a next work order is available, which involves a cross-bobbin / empty tube change on another batch processing another Job concerns, in a third process step, the empty tube that has already been picked up by the service unit is released, the empty tube released by the service unit is placed back on the tube feed track, and in a fourth process step the service unit picks up an empty tube from another batch in order to be able to carry out a cross-wound / empty tube change at the other work station.
  • This procedure ensures that the service unit is always available for the processing of work orders, except during the processing of work orders at a work station. In this way, necessary cross-wound bobbin / empty tube changes can be carried out immediately, since the service unit cannot be blocked by an empty tube that it cannot change. This is particularly important in the case of multi-batch occupancy, in order to minimize unnecessary downtimes at the individual workplaces that are waiting for a package / empty tube change. This not only improves the efficiency of each individual service unit, but also optimizes the overall machine efficiency.
  • the service unit drives to the relevant work station and the empty tube required for this batch is requested and transported to the service unit or the work station via a tube feed track.
  • the cheese to be replaced which is usually full, is removed from the package frame by the service unit and transferred to a spinning machine's own package transport device; this is carried out, for example, with a frame opener integrated in the service unit combined with an ejector and drive arm. With a gripping device also arranged in the service unit, the empty tube is removed from the tube transport path and placed in the bobbin frame.
  • the service unit In practice, however, it can happen that the work order expires before the empty tube can be inserted into the reel frame by the service unit. This can happen, for example, if the job goes into disruption or the currently available work order is prematurely deleted due to manual intervention by an operator. In this case, the empty tube has remained in the gripping device of the service unit and blocked it. The service unit had to wait until a work order for a cheese / empty tube change of the same lot was received in order to empty the gripping device and replace the empty tube, even if other work stations processing other lots had reported work orders relating to a cheese / empty tube change in the meantime.
  • the service unit releases the empty tube that is already present in the gripping device can, it is then immediately able to carry out a work order for a cheese / empty tube change, which is necessary at a further work station that processes a different batch and thus requires another empty tube.
  • the empty tube present in the gripping device from the service unit is placed back on the tube feed track when the current work order expires and before this empty tube can be exchanged in the reel frame at the corresponding work station.
  • the empty tube is then transported away via the tube feed track and the service unit can immediately carry out a new work order with regard to a cheese / empty tube change.
  • a second aspect of the invention therefore relates to a spinning machine producing take-up bobbins with a plurality of work stations and at least one service unit that can be moved along the work stations for processing work orders relating to a package / empty tube change at the individual work stations, an empty tube being fed to the service unit via a spinning machine's own tube feed path and the service unit has a gripping device with which the delivered empty tube can be removed from the tube feed track, and wherein the service unit comprises a control device which is connected to a central control device and this in turn is connected to the workstation control devices.
  • the spinning machine producing winding bobbins is characterized in that the control device or the central control unit is set up to control the service unit in such a way that the service unit is controlled in the event that the work order relating to the package / empty tube change expires before it has been carried out by the service unit and the empty tube is replaced Empty tube removed from the tube feed track can be placed back on the tube feed track by the service unit and that a new empty tube suitable for another batch can then be removed from the tube feed track in order to carry out a cross-bobbin / empty tube change at another work station processing the other batch.
  • the service unit can be controlled as required. This can even be realized during the cheese / empty tube change cycle, that is, at any time before the empty tube is exchanged in the bobbin frame, for example after the full cheese has already been removed from the bobbin frame.
  • the service unit is controlled in such a way that the empty tube removed from the tube feed track by the service unit by means of a gripping device is released again. It is irrelevant for the invention how the gripping device of the service unit is designed, whether for example by gripping elements or pneumatic cylinders, it is essential that the service unit has a device by means of which the empty tube is taken over by the tube feed track.
  • a spinning machine 1 producing take-up bobbins is shown, in this exemplary embodiment designed as an open-end spinning machine, which has a plurality of work stations 2, each equipped with a spinning device 3 and a winding device 4.
  • the open-end spinning machine also has two identical service units 5.
  • a sliver placed in sliver cans 6 is spun into threads which are wound up on the winding devices 4 to form cross-wound bobbins 7.
  • the winding devices 4 are, as in FIG Fig. 2 shown, equipped with a bobbin frame 8 for rotatably holding an empty tube 9 or a cheese 7 and with a winding drum 10 for rotating these elements.
  • the open-end spinning machine also has a central control unit 11 which is connected to the workstation control devices 13 via a bus system 12. Furthermore, such open-end spinning machines have a cheese transport device 14 for disposing of finished cheese 7 and an empty tube supply device, which essentially consists of an empty tube magazine 15 and tube feed tracks 16.
  • the service unit 5 can be moved on guide rails 17, 18 which are arranged on or on the open-end rotor spinning machine 1.
  • the service unit 5 is in Fig. 2 shown in more detail.
  • the control device 19 of the service unit 5, like the workstation control devices 13 and the central control unit 11, is connected to the bus system 12 of the open-end spinning machine.
  • the service unit 5 has, as in Fig. 2 shown, various handling devices that enable the service unit 5 to carry out a cross-bobbin / empty tube change if necessary and to provide the spinning device 3 of the relevant work station 2 with a piecing thread.
  • a service unit 5 has, for example, a so-called frame opener (not shown) and an ejector and drive arm (also not shown) that can be adjusted to the surface of the cheese 7.
  • the service unit 5 also includes a gripping device 20, which is designed, for example, in such a way that its gripping elements are matched to the outer diameter of the empty tubes 9 conveyed via the tube feed tracks 16 into the area of the workplaces.
  • Such a service unit 5 is equipped with a device 21 for cleaning the spinning device 3, an auxiliary thread delivery device 22 for providing a piecing thread and with a thread application and thread transfer device 23.
  • An empty tube 9 that is not required can be returned to the tube feed track 16 by the service unit 5 become.
  • the service units 5 automatically intervene when there is a need for action at one of the work stations 2 and this is signaled by a work order.
  • a work order exists when the cheese 7 has been completely wound at one of the work stations 2 and has to be exchanged for an empty tube 9.
  • the service unit 5 runs to the relevant work station 2.
  • the service unit 5 After the service unit 5 is correctly positioned, it exchanges the cheese 7, which has reached its prescribed diameter, for an empty tube 9. This means that after the reel frame 8 has been opened, the service unit 5 transfers the finished cheese 7 to the package transport device 14 by means of the ejector and drive arm and then uses the gripping device 20 to change a new empty tube 9, which is sent to the service unit 5 via a tube feed track 16 from the empty tube magazine 15 has been provided into the coil frame 8.
  • a piecing thread 25 is provided by the auxiliary thread delivery device 22 of the service unit 5.
  • the piecing thread 25 is then drawn off from a supply spool 27 by a thread feed mechanism 26 and pneumatically moved into the area of an in Figure 2 shown, the job's own suction nozzle 29 transferred, which sucks the thread end.
  • the delivery tube 28 conveys the piecing thread 25 into the area of a thread laying and threading device 23, which in turn brings the piecing thread 25 into the area of the empty tube 9 held in the bobbin frame 8 of a work station 2, the free end of the piecing thread 25 from the suction nozzle 29 also is transferred to a workstation's own piecing element (not shown), which prepares the thread end, as usual.
  • the method 100 shown in the flowchart shown relates to the processing of work orders relating to a cheese / empty tube change by service units 5 used on a spinning machine producing take-up bobbins.
  • the service unit 5 drives to the corresponding work station 2 and, in a first method step 110, the Service unit 5 is supplied with an empty tube 9 via a tube feed track 16 that is internal to the spinning machine. Then, in a second method step 120, the empty tube 9 is picked up by the service unit 5. Usually, the empty tube 9 is removed from the tube feed track 16 by a gripping device 20 arranged in the service unit 5.
  • a third Method step 130 the empty tube 9 already stored by the service unit 5 is delivered.
  • the empty tube 9, which is no longer required, is returned to the tube feed track 16.
  • the service unit 5 can accept a work order relating to a cross-wound / empty tube change for another work station 2 and pick up the corresponding empty tube 9 from the tube feed track 16, even if the other work station 2 is processing a different batch and thus a another empty tube 9 is required.
  • the service unit 5 can thus accept the next work order without unnecessary delay and process subsequent requests from further work stations 2 without delay.
