Definitions
- the invention relates to a modular swimming pool, which comprises at least a first and a second swimming pool module, each swimming pool module having a floor element and at least one wall element connected to the floor element, the swimming pool modules defining a pool interior by being joined together, the floor element and the wall element of at least one swimming pool module on an outer surface of the swimming pool module facing away from the pool interior, have reinforcing ribs that stand out from the outer surface, with the reinforcing ribs of the wall element, which are arranged at a distance from one another, extending in the direction of the floor element.
- the wall elements of the modular swimming pool can also have transverse ribs which are oriented substantially normal to the reinforcing ribs extending towards the floor element.
- the invention relates to a method for installing such a modular swimming pool.
- swimming pools that are built into the ground and swimming pools that are placed above ground on a subsurface.
- the invention disclosed here advantageously relates to an underground swimming pool, whereby the swimming pool can also be provided for installation above ground.
- pools that consist of a single piece and modular pools that are assembled from several prefabricated modules.
- the modules can be assembled at the factory or at the installation site, for example by gluing, welding or screwing.
- Modular pools that are assembled on site have several advantages compared to pools that consist of only one piece.
- the transport of ordinary, one-piece swimming pools often requires complex measures that often require the use of cranes, long trucks or even helicopters.
- modular swimming pools on the other hand, the transport to the installation site can be carried out much more easily and flexibly, for example with conventional trucks or transporters, thanks to the advantageous dimensioning of the individual modules.
- the modules can be unloaded much more easily at the installation site or installed in properties that are difficult to access, especially if the modules are made of plastic. Furthermore, in the case of built-in pools, the modular design allows for better leveling of unevenness in the base on which the pool stands, since during the installation of each module it is possible to make any corrections to ensure the horizontality of the pool edge.
- the patent application US2014/0173820 A1 discloses a modular swimming pool intended for above ground placement.
- the swimming pool has a bottom member and at least one side member and is formed of a polymer, fiberglass or similar suitable material.
- the pool On the side surfaces of the modules and on the underside of its bottom surface, the pool has several reinforcing elements protruding from the surfaces, which increase the stability and load-bearing capacity of the structure.
- the object of the invention is therefore to provide a modular swimming pool and a method for installing the swimming pool, which avoids the disadvantages of the prior art. This object is achieved by providing a modular swimming pool having the features of claim 1 and a method of installing the modular swimming pool having the features of claim 10.
- the modular swimming pool according to the invention has reinforcing ribs of the base element, which are arranged at a distance from one another and form open chambers on the outer surface of the swimming pool module, which are designed to be completely filled with a binding agent when the reinforcing ribs rest on an essentially level mounting base, the At least one, in particular wedge-shaped, basin interior in the area of the floor element Has a recess which forms a continuous channel area of the pool interior, the reinforcing ribs of the floor element being connected to an outer surface of the recess which faces away from the channel area and delimits the open chambers.
- the mounting base can be, for example, a pit base for installation in the ground, which can be covered with a blinding layer of chippings, foam glass or other suitable materials if necessary, or for example a terrace stone base or another suitable base for above-ground positioning.
- the outer surface of the floor element is essentially completely covered by the open chambers in the area of its reinforcing ribs. Due to the design as an open chamber, it is possible with a suitable spraying device, for example a foam can of the binding agent or a spray gun, to inject the binding agent into the cross section formed by the floor element, the reinforcing ribs and the mounting base.
- the binding agent directly to the cross-section using a hose that transports the binding agent and is intended for one-time use.
- This has the advantage that all open chambers on the underside of the bottom of the pool can be completely filled with the binder when the pool is installed, and cavities outside the open chambers can also be completely filled with binder.
- the filled chambers and cavities on the underside of the pool floor thus give the pool construction additional stability and resilience.
- the wedge-shaped depression on the pool floor forms a channel in which pipes for the inlet and outlet of the pool water, which ensure an even flow of the pool water, can be laid, with the channel being provided for subsequent covering with a grid in order to to separate the pipes from the rest of the pool interior.
- An alternative application of the channel is that particles of water pollution or other unwanted objects, such as sand or leaves, of the entire bottom area can accumulate in the channel, making the pool bottom particularly easy to clean. Because the wedge-shaped indentation runs in the middle of the pool, the reinforcing ribs on the outer surface of the pool floor terminate at the indentation and form open chambers for injection of binding agent on either side of the indentation, which can be reached from opposite wall elements.
- the first swimming pool module has a technical section that is separated from the interior of the pool by at least one wall element, in which technical devices, such as pump or filter systems, which are required for the operation of the swimming pool, can be integrated directly into the module.
- the open chambers of the base element can be filled with binding agent via a closable opening in the depression, the opening being closed after filling.
- the floor elements of the swimming pool modules can thus be connected to one another in a particularly simple manner, with the openings being sealed watertight, for example by welding, after the modules have been connected by the binding agent.
- a further preferred embodiment of the modular swimming pool provides that the wall element has an overflow channel with a substantially U-shaped cross section.
- spilling pool water can be absorbed by the overflow channel and returned to the inside of the pool, for example via the technical devices in the technical section.
- At least one wall element is connected to at least one support element, in particular to a carbon lattice, a glass lattice fabric or a reinforcement, with the space between the wall element and the support element preferably being filled with a binding agent.
- a further preferred embodiment of the modular swimming pool provides that the binders suitable for filling the chambers comprise a functional foam, in particular polyurethane foam (PUR foam) or polyisocyanurate foam (PIR foam).
- PUR foam polyurethane foam
- PIR foam polyisocyanurate foam
- the open chambers on the underside of the pool floor can be sprayed in an uncomplicated manner with commercially available functional foam Compared to concrete has a significantly shorter curing time, for example about a day.
- the functional foam can be designed as a two-component functional foam, whereby the components for processing the foam can be mixed directly at the installation site.
- PUR foam or PIR foam that allows the right injection depth for injecting into the open chamber, or has the right viscosity of the binder in the liquid state for applying the binder via a hose so that it can be completely mixed with the Functional foam to fill and to ensure the right strength and flexibility for a long service life of the pool.
- the swimming pool modules are made of glass fiber reinforced plastic, carbon fibers or a plastic from the group of polyolefins, in particular polypropylene or polyethylene. This has the advantage that the swimming pool can be easily machined using suitable cutting means, for example a milling machine, and the modules can also be easily manufactured in variable shapes by means of CNC milling.
- a further preferred embodiment provides that the floor element and/or at least one wall element essentially have a curved course.
- This has the advantage that the swimming pool can be manufactured in an open geometry, for example a round or oval shape of the swimming pool is also possible, with any other shape with a curved course of the bottom or the wall being possible.
- At least one open chamber of the floor element has at least one closable opening along the floor element in order to fill the at least one open chamber with binding agent and to close the at least one opening after filling.
- the binder can advantageously be injected with a suitable spray device into the cross section formed by the floor element, the reinforcing ribs and the mounting base to completely fill it with a binder if the cross section has a width that is a multiple of the maximum spray width of the spray device.
- several openings can also be provided along the bottom element of the open chamber.
- the method according to the invention for installing the modular swimming pool comprises digging a pit in the ground to form a mounting base and preferably applying a blinding layer to the bottom of the pit, positioning two or more pool modules on the mounting base, assembling the swimming pool modules and moving the swimming pool on the mounting base by filling the chambers of the floor elements with binding agent.
- the method also includes filling the spaces between the pit and the outside of the pool interior with bulk material and/or binding agent, in particular soil, and filling the pool interior with water, with a pool water surface being formed by filling the pool interior.
- the method comprises arranging a marking device, in particular a laser beam, which can be projected by a cross-line laser, for example, in the pool interior, with the marking means forming a marking line on the wall element, which is in the area of the upper edge of a Wall element is aligned horizontally.
- the preferred embodiment of the method includes cutting off the wall elements using a cutting means, in particular a milling machine, along the marking line to form a pool waterline at which the wall elements end and merge into the overflow channel. This has the advantage that a pool wall can be created that forms a level overflow to the pool water surface, which is why the overflowing water sloshes evenly into the overflow channel.
- FIG. 1 1 shows a modular swimming pool 1 according to an embodiment variant of the invention, which has several swimming pool modules 2.
- FIG. Each swimming pool module 2 has a floor element 3 and at least one wall element 4, with the swimming pool modules 2 forming a pool interior 5 by being joined together, as shown in FIG figure 1 can be seen clearly.
- the swimming pool modules 2 have reinforcing ribs 6 on their outer surface, which faces away from the pool interior 5 .
- These reinforcement ribs 6 stand out from the outer surface of the swimming pool modules 2 and are arranged at a distance from one another, with the reinforcement ribs 6 extending along the wall elements 4 in the direction of the floor element 3 and the reinforcement ribs 6 of the floor elements 3 running substantially completely through the floor elements 3, based on what figure 2 has been received in detail.
- the reinforcing ribs 6 form open chambers 7 on the wall element 4 and the floor element 3, the open chambers 7 of the floor elements 3 essentially completely covering the outer surface of the floor element 3 and being designed to be completely filled with a binding agent 8 when they are on rest on a mounting base 9.
- the modular swimming pool 1 in figure 1 the first swimming pool module 2 has a technical section 10 which is separated from the pool interior 5 by a wall element 4 and which has a cavity 11 which is suitable for accommodating technical swimming pool devices, for example pump and filter systems.
- the technical section 10, as in figure 1 shown, according to one embodiment of the invention include at least one splash water tank 12.
- the outer surfaces of at least one wall element 4 of the technical section 10 also have reinforcing ribs 6 in order to make the swimming pool module 2 mechanically stable.
- the illustrated embodiment of the modular swimming pool 1 has an overflow channel 14 with a U-shaped cross section, which allows the pool water to be returned to a filter circuit of the swimming pool 1 via the at least one surge water tank 12, which can be positioned in the area of the technical section 10.
- each floor element 3 has a wedge-shaped recess 13 in its central area, as shown in FIG figure 1 is clearly visible. This depression forms a continuous channel area of the pelvic interior 5.
- figure 2 shows the underside of the pool floor of a swimming pool module 2 of a modular swimming pool 1 according to an embodiment variant of the invention.
- the reinforcing ribs 6 form open chambers 7 on the floor element 3 and on the wall element 4 of the swimming pool module 2.
- the reinforcing ribs 6 of the floor element 3 forming open chambers 7 are connected to an outer surface of the recess 13 facing away from the channel area 13 .
- the open chambers 7 substantially completely cover the outer surface of the base element 3 and substantially completely pass through the base element 3 .
- the binders 8 provided for filling the chambers 7 comprise a functional foam, in particular a polyurethane foam. This advantageously eliminates the need for a concrete foundation as used in prior art modular inground pools.
- FIG 3 Figure 12 shows an isometric sectional view of a pool module 2 of an inbuilt modular pool 1 according to a variant embodiment of the invention.
- the module 2 was positioned in the ground 15 on a mounting base 9 and binder 8, in particular polyurethane foam, was added to it.
- the mounting substrate 9 can have a blinding layer, which can include chippings, foam glass, mineral mixtures with polyurethane binders or other suitable materials.
- the modules 2 with support means which are designed for example as wedges and in the figure 3 are not shown, stocky.
- the wall element 4 of the module 2 is connected to a support element 16, which reinforces the wall element 4 in addition to the reinforcing rib 6 and gives the wall element 4 additional stability and resilience against pressure exerted by water 17 and soil 15 when the swimming pool 1 is installed.
- the support element 16 can be designed, for example, as a carbon lattice, glass lattice fabric or as a reinforcement.
- the space between the wall element 4 and the support element 16 is preferably filled with binding agent 8 .
- the binders 8, which are intended to fill the space also comprise a functional foam, in particular a polyurethane foam or polyisocyanurate foam, which makes the construction even more stable and resilient to external pressure and internal water pressure.
- FIG 4a shows a sectional view of a built-in swimming pool 1 with overflow according to an embodiment of the invention, which is completely filled with water 17.
- the water surface 18 forms a pool waterline.
- a marking means is positioned in the pool interior 5 in such a way that the marking means, in particular a laser beam, which can be projected from a cross-line laser, for example, forms a marking line which is in the region of the upper edge of the pool interior 5 is oriented horizontally.
- the wall elements 4 of the swimming pool modules 2 are separated by a suitable cutting means, for example a milling machine, in such a way that the wall elements 4 end along this water line of the water surface 18 in the pool.
- FIG 5 shows an isometric view of a segment of a modular swimming pool 1 according to an embodiment variant of the invention, wherein the wall element 4 as well as the overflow channel 14 of the swimming pool module 2 have a curved shape.
- This allows the swimming pool 1 to have an open geometry.
- the entire swimming pool 1 can have an essentially oval or round shape, or the floor elements 3 and/or the wall elements 4 of individual swimming pool modules 2 can have curved shapes, which enables a wide range of variants in the pool design.
- the individual swimming pool modules 2 from a plastic, for example polypropylene or polyethylene, the various shapes of the swimming pool modules 2 can be easily and cost-effectively manufactured at the factory using CNC milling processes.
- FIG. 6 1 shows a modular swimming pool 1 according to a further embodiment variant of the invention, which has a plurality of swimming pool modules 2.
- FIG. The open chambers 7 of the swimming pool modules 2 have a plurality of closable openings 23 along the floor elements 3 and in the depression 13 .
- the open chambers 7 can be filled with binding agent 8 by means of these closable openings 23 , the openings 23 being closed with binding agent 8 after they have been filled.
- the closing of the openings 23 can be realized, for example, by welding the openings 23, the welding for example by heating the end faces of the Openings 23 and can be done in a row by pressing the end faces of the openings 23 with a closure.
- FIG 7 shows an underside of the pool floor of a swimming pool module 2 of a modular swimming pool 1 according to a further embodiment of the invention.
- the openings 23 can be anywhere in the recess 13.
- an opening 23 can be provided on the outer surface of the recess 13 facing away from the channel area, which opening delimits the open chamber 7 .
- an opening 23 can be provided in a transverse depression 24 of the depression 13, which is oriented essentially normal to the depression 13 running between the ends of the basin and is connected to it.
- the transition between the depression 13 and the transverse depression 24 can have a rounding or a bevel.
- An opening 23 provided in the transverse depression 24 can be used to supply fresh pool water to the pool or to remove old, dirty pool water from the pool interior 5 .
- FIG 8 Figure 3 shows an isometric view of a segment of a modular swimming pool 1 according to another embodiment of the invention.
- the modules of the modular swimming pool 1 have a plurality of openings 23 both along the floor elements 3 and in the recess 13, by means of which binder 8 can be applied to completely fill the open chambers 7.
- the figure 8 represented segment of the modular swimming pool 1 further transverse recesses, which also have openings 23, the number of openings 23, which for complete filling of the open chambers 7 with binder 8 depends on the chamber size of the open chambers 7.
- the modular swimming pool 1 is positioned above ground on a mounting base 9, with the wall elements 4 of the swimming pool modules 2 preferably being reinforced in this variant.
- the modular swimming pool 1 can withstand the water pressure on its wall elements 4 better.
- the wall elements 4 can be reinforced, for example, by using materials with high strength and a high modulus of elasticity, for example glass fiber reinforced plastic or carbon fibers, and/or by using transverse ribs running normal to their reinforcing ribs 6, and/or by foaming their chambers 7, and /or by using the already at figure 3 support elements 16 described can be achieved.
- the floor elements 3 have spacer feet, which are outside of the area of the reinforcing ribs 6 of the open chambers 7 that is essentially completely covered
- Floor elements 3 for supporting the swimming pool 1 are arranged. This increases the stability and load-bearing capacity of the modular swimming pool 1 in floor areas outside the open chambers 7 .
- the entire pool interior of the modular swimming pool could also be formed by just one module and, for example, only one technical section could be provided as a separate technical module that forms a second module of the modular swimming pool.
- a pool module could be placed as a unit on a patio of a house.
- the open chambers 7 can also be delimited by further reinforcing ribs running transversely to the reinforcing ribs 6 instead of by the outer surface of the depression 13 . It would also be possible to delimit the chambers 7 on all four sides by reinforcing ribs, which would result in a closed chamber in the floor element, the cavity of which could be filled towards the ground via one or more openings 23 in the floor element.
