Definitions
- the invention relates to drainage of a window.
- Windows and doors have sash frames and blind frames, which are connected to each other and can be opened and closed.
- the blind frame usually has a rebate area in which condensation from the casement and rainwater can collect. This water must be drained into the environment. As a rule, the drainage is routed through the window frame.
- the opening from the window frame can be downwards as well as on the side.
- EP 2360342 B1 Out of EP 2360342 B1 is a plastic window frame with a weather-side shell made of metal in conjunction with a window sill.
- the drainage opening from the hollow profile of a window frame is in the facing shell and out of this through an outlet opening on the window sill.
- CN 202755811 U shows a window with a wooden frame and facing shells. The drainage from the rebate area takes place through a facing shell and is discharged to the environment via a bridge attached to the wooden frame.
- EP 2386710 A2 discloses a drainage of a plastic window frame from a rebate area into the environment, in which the drainage water from the window frame takes place down onto a largely horizontal surface of the window frame.
- the object of the present invention is to design the drainage in such a way that a purely vertical fluid flow is avoided at the mouth.
- the object is solved by a window or a door having the features of independent claim 1 .
- a window according to the invention or a door according to the invention has a sash frame and a window frame.
- the drainage from the window frame opens out on the side facing the surroundings above an outer bar.
- the outer bridge prevents a purely vertical flow of fluid.
- a sash frame is understood to mean both a rotatable and/or tiltable frame and a frame of a sliding door or a sliding window.
- a casement frame is understood to mean a movable frame of a door or a window, which engages in a frame of this door or this window.
- the window frame preferably has a window frame plastic profile, and the window frame plastic profile and the outer web are manufactured in one piece, both of which are preferably manufactured as a one-piece, extruded profile.
- the outer web runs horizontally as far as possible in order to keep the fluid away from the outer wall.
- the outer web can also have a gradient away from the profile.
- the drainage can take place from the rebate area through at least one profile chamber of the window frame into the environment and preferably through a vertical wall of the window frame.
- the blind frame can be connected to a facing shell blind frame on the side facing the environment.
- the drainage from the window frame takes place through at least one side wall bore and this is or are horizontally covered by the facing shell window frame.
- the drainage is visually concealed on the one hand and protected from environmental influences such as wind on the other.
- a facing shell blind frame is understood to mean both a complete, self-contained frame and a combination of facing shells that are only connected to the blind frame.
- a completely self-contained frame is usually latched and/or screwed to the window frame.
- a complete frame usually exists made of 4 facing shell parts for top, bottom, left and right, which are usually mitred and connected with corner connectors or welded together.
- a facing shell is usually connected to the frame at the top, bottom, left and right; where two opposite shells usually run continuously and the other two shells fill the gap. Visually, these facing shells also form a frame when mounted.
- the sash frame can also be connected to facing shells.
- the outer web is covered horizontally by the facing shell frame and is therefore usually not visible from the outside.
- a window sill can be arranged below the outer web.
- the outer web prevents fluid from flowing between the window frame and the window sill. Instead, according to the invention, the fluid is conducted into the environment via the window sill.
- a window sill seal which can preferably be self-adhesive, can be arranged between the window sill and the window frame for attachment. It has proven to be particularly advantageous to attach a double-sided adhesive window sill seal to both the window sill and the window frame below the outer web and then to connect the two adhesive seals to one another.
- the figure shows a portion of a window with a sash frame 1 and a window frame 3.
- the sash frame 1 consists essentially of a sash frame plastic hollow chamber profile 18, on which a facing shell sash frame 2 is placed from the outside on the side of the environment U, a glazing bead 13 , which is clipped on the inside of a building with the casement plastic hollow chamber profile 18, and a steel reinforcement profile 21. Description
