Definitions
- the invention relates to a gabion basket construction with the aim of particularly economical production.
- Gabion baskets usually consist of a bottom wall lattice, four side wall lattices and, if necessary, a top wall lattice as well as stiffening or stabilizing elements in the form of intermediate grids, tie rods or the like that run through the gabion basket and are connected to one another by mechanical means and/or by welding.
- a facade cladding gabion basket from a first wall lattice element in a U configuration to form a longitudinal side wall and two adjoining narrow side walls and a second wall lattice element in an L-shaped configuration to form a second longitudinal side wall and an adjoining bottom wall.
- a gabion basket is from the EP 2 894 274 B1 known.
- the two wall lattice elements there are terminated at their abutting lattice ends by peripheral lattice bars, and the two wall lattice elements are connected by connecting the abutting edge lattice bars of the two lattice elements using conventional mechanical connecting means.
- tie rods or transverse intermediate grids between the longitudinal side walls in order to prevent the longitudinal side walls from being pressed apart under the influence of stone filling is well known, for example from US Pat DE 10 2014 005 642 A1 .
- the object of the invention is a gabion basket construction from only two wall lattice elements, as from the EP 2 894 274 basically known to improve in terms of a particularly simple installation.
- connection of abutting lattice ends of two lattice parts by protruding horizontal bars bent backwards into hooks at one end of the lattice, which interact with a peripheral lattice bar terminating the other end of the lattice is from DE 20 2013 103 411 U1 known per se, which form a gabion basket composed of two L-shaped lattice parts, each forming a narrow side wall and side wall, without a bottom wall.
- the lattice ends of the two wall lattice elements provided for connection to the other of the two wall lattice elements are in contrast to the prior art according to FIG EP 2 894 274 B1 not all terminated with marginal bars. Rather, in the two wall lattice elements, the lattice parts running transversely to the two longitudinal side walls are formed with free-ending lattice bars running towards the other wall lattice element, but bent backwards to form a hook, which run into a peripheral lattice bar of the other wall lattice element running transversely thereto and can be hooked into these with the bent hooks.
- intermediate grids which are closed off at their end facing one longitudinal side wall by a final vertical edge grid rod, but at the other end free-ending grid rods running towards the other longitudinal side wall and in turn each terminating in a hook backwards bent.
- the assembly is carried out by initially butting the intermediate grids with their ends, which are closed by a vertical edge grid bar, butt against the longitudinal side wall of the U-shaped wall grid element next to a vertical grid bar of this longitudinal side wall and preferably connecting them to this wall grid element by a wire spiral. Then the U-shaped wall lattice element with the attached to it Intermediate lattices and the L-shaped wall lattice element are hung on one another by mutual hooking by means of the bar ends bent into hooks, whereupon the hooks are mechanically pressed together to fix the wall lattice elements to one another. It is sufficient to press only a few of the hooks together to fix the wall lattice elements together. Since the stone filling to be introduced tries to push the wall lattice elements apart, the hanging connection is made by the stone filling secured without the need to close all the hook connections by squeezing them together.
- Spot welding can also be used instead of hooks being pressed together.
- the gabion basket can be made ready to fill very quickly and economically.
- the gabion basket construction according to the invention consists of two wall lattice elements 1 and 2 and some intermediate lattices 3.
- One wall lattice element 1 forms three integrally connected side walls of a gabion basket, namely a first long side wall 4 and two narrow side walls 5 and 6. It consists of a single wire lattice, which is bent into a U-shape by connecting the two narrow side walls 5 and 6 forming end portions are bent at right angles relative to the main part forming the longitudinal side wall 4.
- the other wall lattice element 2 forms the other longitudinal side wall 7 and a bottom wall 8 of the gabion basket.
- a wire grid is bent in an L-shape, in that the lower section forming the bottom wall 8 is bent at right angles from the section forming the other longitudinal side wall 7 .
- three intermediate grids 3 are provided, which are arranged to run transversely between the two longitudinal side walls 4 and 7 .
- the sections of the two wall lattice elements 1 and 2 running transversely to the longitudinal side walls 2 and 7, i.e. the two transverse side walls 5 and 6 of the wall lattice element 1 and the bottom wall 8 of the wall lattice element 2, as well as the ends of the intermediate lattice 3 facing the wall lattice element 2 each have freely ending protruding , horizontal bars bent backwards to form a hook.
- the longitudinal ends of the longitudinal side wall of the wall lattice element 2 are formed by terminal vertical edge lattice bars, and the upper end of the longitudinal side wall 7 is formed by a terminal horizontal edge lattice bar.
- the upper and lower ends of the longitudinal side wall 4 and the narrow side walls 5 and 6 are each formed by terminal horizontal edge lattice bars.
- the end facing the longitudinal side wall 4 of the wall grid element 1 is closed off in each case by a terminal vertical edge grid rod.
- the gabion basket is assembled as follows:
- the intermediate grids 3 are arranged with their vertical edge grid rods facing the wall grid element 1 butting against the longitudinal side wall 4 next to a vertical grid rod of this longitudinal side wall 4 and preferably connected to the longitudinal side wall 4 by means of a wire spiral 9 over essentially the entire height of the gabion basket.
- a wire spiral 9 instead of the wire spirals 9 that are preferably provided, other mechanical fastening means such as clamps or the like can also be used, although their installation is more complex.
- the two wall lattice elements 1 and 2 are then pushed together horizontally and hooked onto one another by hooking the ends of the lattice bars running towards the longitudinal side wall 4 of the wall lattice part 1, which are bent over into hooks, into the lower edge lattice bar of the longitudinal side wall 4, and by the ends of the horizontal bars bent over into hooks of the narrow side walls 5 and 6 on the vertical edge bars of the longitudinal side wall 7 of the wall lattice element 2 and bent into hooks Ends of the horizontal lattice bars of the intermediate lattice 3 are hung on corresponding vertical lattice bars of the longitudinal side wall 7 .
- the hooks are pressed together to fix the respective hanging connection, it being sufficient to press only some of the hooks together to fix the two wall lattice parts 1 and 2 securely to one another.
- the stone filling will bias the two wall lattice elements 1 and 2 in a direction away from each other, thereby securing all hook connections against detachment, including those that have not been compressed.

Description
- Fig. 1
- Fig. 2
- den Gabionenkorb nach
Fig. 1 in montiertem Zustand, - Fig. 3
- die Einzelheit A in
Fig. 2 , und - Fig. 4
- die Einzelheit B in
Fig. 1 .
