Definitions

  • the present invention relates generally to a shoelace for facilitating the lacing of shoes by a user, which is used on a low shoe, orthopedic shoe or the like.
  • Shoes are essentially formed from a sole and a shaft, which allows a foot of the user to be inserted and removed from the shoe through an opening.
  • eyelets or hooks are usually provided, which are formed on both sides of the opening in such a way that the opening is closed by tensioning the shoelace.
  • the tying, in particular the formation of a knot, of a shoelace comprises several steps in which the hands of the user have to grip the two end regions of the shoelace and the end regions are partially covered and have a complex relationship to one another. Markings can be made on the free end regions of the shoelaces, which indicate how the shoelaces should be tied U.S. Patent 2,646,630 to Miller shows a series of markings to make it easier to tie shoelaces.
  • U.S. Patent 2,646,630 to Miller shows a series of markings to make it easier to tie shoelaces.
  • a shoe fastener and a shoe with a shoe fastener is in the publication US 2013/269210 A1 discloses a flexible, elongated, tubular member having a central portion, first and second end regions connected to the central portion, the second end region being distal to the first end region, the flexible, elongated, tubular member having a first Has flexibility property includes. Further, end members are connected to the flexible elongate tubular member and are disposed in the vicinity of the first and second ends, respectively, of the flexible elongate tubular member, the end members projecting inwardly towards the central inner portion and the end members having a second flexibility characteristic, wherein the first flexibility property is greater than the second flexibility property.
  • the pamphlet U.S. 487,411 A describes a shoelace for a shoe which is formed by the combination of a metal strand extending longitudinally therethrough. The ends of the metal cord are wrapped around the ends of the shoelace, which is made of a textile material.
  • the pamphlet U.S. 4,721,468 A which forms the closest prior art, discloses a shoelace for use by young children or the disabled which, after being threaded through the eyelets of a shoe so that its opposite end portions are free for tying a loop, the Tying the loop made easier.
  • the shoelace has a width that allows it to be threaded through the eyelets of a shoe and has opposing end portions that are each stiff enough to essentially maintain the shape they are bent and unbent into, but each resist bending and unbending with a resistance low enough to allow children to bend the end portions of the shoelaces while the bow is being tied.
  • the shoelace is comprised of a loose body of fabric and a firm, flexible metal wire lying loosely within the body of the fabric and between 10 and 40 thousandths of an inch thick within the body of the fabric.
  • the object of the present invention is to provide a shoelace which makes it easier for a user to understand the individual steps, so that he can tie the longitudinal ends of the shoelace more slowly and with less likelihood of failure.
  • a particular object of the present invention is to provide a shoe lace which can be tied by the user with one hand.
  • the shoelace according to the invention is preferably formed from a flexible core thread, which consists of a wire-shaped metal, preferably silver, in order to ensure economical production and a long usability of the shoelace.
  • the flexible core thread of the shoelace preferably has a diameter of 0.4 to 2 mm, in particular 0.8 to 1.4 mm, very particularly preferably about 1 mm, in order to ensure sufficient rigidity and flexibility of the first end region for temporarily holding the second end region.
  • the flexible core thread preferably extends from the longitudinal end of the first end area with a length I to the second end area in order to ensure an optimal positioning of the first end area with respect to the shoe.
  • the length of the flexible core thread is 5 to 25 cm, preferably 15 to 18 cm, particularly preferably 5 to 10 cm.
  • the first end region, in particular the free end for binding, is thereby fixed in relation to the shoe in a constricted state in the shoe and can be positioned in relation to the shoe by bending.
  • the shoelace has one in each case in the region of the longitudinal ends of the flexible core thread in order to avoid damage to the shoelace by the flexible core thread.
  • the two pinks ensure that the flexible core thread is held in the working position, in particular they prevent the flexible core from shifting within the shoelace, in particular the lace cover, in the longitudinal direction of the lace cover.
  • the sleeve-shaped pinks are preferably made of metal or plastic or a similar material.
  • the first end region has a holding device for the user to temporarily hold the first end region in relation to the shoe. Is it possible for the user to easily and safely position the first end area opposite the shoe with one hand? Furthermore, it is a tactile aid for the user to recognize the first end area without visual contact and to grasp it with one hand, in particular to position and / or hold it temporarily against the shoe.
  • the holding device is attached to the first end region by a node point.
  • the junction prevents the second end area from sliding off when knotted or tied on compared to the first end area, in particular an unwanted displacement of the second end area in the knotted or tied state in the direction of the longitudinal end of the first end area.
  • the second end area can be temporarily fixed on the first end area of the shoelace, it is possible for the user to tie the second end area to the first end area by means of a freely selectable knot.
  • the user to tie the two longitudinal ends to one another in a desired position with one hand, in particular to knot them and thus tie the shoe and thus temporarily fix it to one of the user's feet.
  • the two longitudinal ends can be untied again with one hand so that the user can take the shoe off again.
  • Figure 1 shows a shoe lace 25 according to the invention with a first end region 1 and a second end region 2.
  • the shoe lace 25 has a diameter of 2 to 8 mm and comprises a core element 8 and a lace cover 9, the core element 8 and the lace cover 9 extending over the entire length of the lace 25.
  • the lacing sleeve 9 envelops the core element 8 and consists preferably of cotton, synthetic fiber or mixtures of these, in rare cases of leather.
  • the core element 8 has one or more core threads 8a, 8b which ensure sufficient tensile strength of the lace 25 in the longitudinal direction of the lace 25.
  • the core element 8, or the core threads 8a and 8b preferably consists of fabric, fiber material, elastic plastic, PVC, metal or a mixture of these materials.
  • the shoelace 25 designed according to the invention preferably has one or more flexible core threads 8b made of a wire-shaped metal, in particular silver, with a diameter of 1 mm in the region of the first end region 1.
  • the flexible core thread 8b extends within the first end area 1, preferably from the second end area 2 of the first end area 1 with a length I to the second end area 2, preferably the length I is 5 to 25 cm, preferably 15 to 18 cm, particularly preferred 5 to 10 cm.
  • the flexible core thread 8b is held at a position within the lace cover 9 by means of at least one pink.
  • the pinks 3, 4 and 7 are sleeve-shaped and encompass the shoelace 25 radially.
  • the shoelace 25 preferably has a pink 3 and 7 at each of its two ends in order to prevent the ends of the shoelace 25 from fraying.
  • the flexible core thread 8b is held in its position by two pinks 3 and 4, which are arranged at the end region of the flexible core thread 8b, and to prevent damage to the lace cover 9 by the flexible core thread 8b.
  • the shoelace 25 has a loop-shaped holding device 6, which preferably has a similar structure to the second end region 2.
  • the holding device 6 is sewn to the first end region 1 by means of a node 5.
  • the node 5 serves as a tactile orientation aid for the user and facilitates the formation of nodes between the first end area 1 and the second end area 2.
  • Figure 4 shows a cross section of the inventive shoelace 25 of Figure 1 .
  • the core element 8 radially encompassed by the lacing sleeve 9 has two core threads 8a and 8b, 8b being the flexible core thread made of a wire-shaped metal.
  • the core element 8 can have further core threads.
  • the core thread 8a is preferably formed continuously between the two ends of the shoelace, or between the two end regions 1 and 2, in order to ensure sufficient tensile strength in the longitudinal direction of the shoelace 25.
  • Figure 2 shows a top view of the upper 21, 22 of a shoe with the shoelace 25 according to FIG Fig. 1 and 2 .
  • Shoes are essentially formed from a sole (not shown) and a shaft 21 and 22 which, through an opening, allows a foot (not shown) of the user to be inserted and removed from the shoe.
  • the shaft 21 and 22 has eyelets 23a, 23b, 23c and 23d, which are formed on both sides of the opening in such a way that the opening can be closed by tensioning the shoelaces 25.
  • the shoelace 25 according to the invention can be guided in the eyelets 23a, 23b, 23c, 23d using different lacing methods. In the present exemplary embodiment, the shop lacing is used.
  • the first end area 1 has a U-shaped bend in the area of the node 5, which is used to temporarily fix the second end area 2.
  • the second end area can preferably be temporarily fixed with the first end area in a frictionally engaged manner.
  • the flexible core thread 8b preferably extends into the area of the shaft 21 and 22 so that the first end area 2 can be fixed with respect to the shoe.
  • FIG. 11 shows a partial view of FIG Figure 2 with a tied shoelace 25.
  • the two end areas 1 and 2 are arranged by means of a node 12, which is arranged on the side of the node 5 facing away from the longitudinal end of the first end area 1, so that when the shaft 21 is loaded, for example when the user walks, to prevent a displacement of the node 12 and thus an unintentional widening of the opening 27.
