Claims (15)

  1. Katheter, der Folgendes umfasst:
    einen länglichen Schaftkörper (106, 306, 406), der sich von einem proximalen Ende (110) bis zu einem distalen Ende (112) erstreckt und ein inneres Lumen definiert, wobei der Schaftkörper eine Auskleidung (332), ein Geflecht (334) oder eine Wendel (336, 338), welche(s) die Auskleidung (332) umgibt, und eine Polymerabdeckung (340, 440), die das Geflecht (334) oder die Wendel (336, 338) umgibt, einschließt,
    einen distalen äußeren Abschnitt der Polymerabdeckung (340, 440) des Schaftkörpers, der einen oder mehrere spiralförmige Gewindegänge (420) einschließt, die konfiguriert sind, um eine Bewegung des Schaftkörpers innerhalb des Gefäßsystems über eine Drehung, die auf das proximale Ende des Schaftkörpers angewendet wird, anzutreiben, und
    ein Spitzenelement, das an dem distalen Ende des Schaftkörpers angeordnet ist,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
    eine äußere Umhüllung (441) den distalen äußeren Abschnitt der Polymerabdeckung (340, 440) und den einen oder die mehreren spiralförmigen Gewindegänge bedeckt.
  2. Katheter nach Anspruch 1, wobei das Spitzenelement (308, 708) ein Polymer-Spitzenelement einschließt, das eine distale Spitze aufweist.
  3. Katheter nach Anspruch 2, wobei ein proximaler (750) und ein dazwischenliegender Abschnitt des Spitzenelements (708) mit einem strahlenundurchlässigen Füllmaterial geladen sind und wobei die distale Spitze (754) das strahlenundurchlässige Füllmaterial nicht aufweist.
  4. Katheter nach einem der Ansprüche 2 oder 3, wobei die distale Spitze (754) aus einem Polymer besteht, das eine Durometer-Härte von etwa 50 D bis etwa 60 D aufweist.
  5. Katheter nach Anspruch 4, wobei das Polymer der distalen Spitze (754) ein thermoplastisches Elastomer ist.
  6. Katheter nach einem der Ansprüche 4 oder 5, wobei die Durometer-Härte der distalen Spitze (754) größer ist als eine Durometer-Härte eines Rests des Spitzenelements.
  7. Katheter nach einem der Ansprüche 2 bis 6, wobei die distale Spitze (754) eine Länge von etwa 1 mm bis etwa 2 mm aufweist.
  8. Katheter nach einem der Ansprüche 2 bis 7, wobei das Polymer-Spitzenelement einen nicht verjüngten proximalen Abschnitt (750) und einen verjüngten distalen Abschnitt (752) einschließt.
  9. Katheter nach Anspruch 8, wobei sich der eine oder die mehreren spiralförmigen Gewindegänge (720) auf den nicht verjüngten proximalen Abschnitt (750) des Polymer-Spitzenelements erstrecken.
  10. Katheter nach Anspruch 9, wobei sich der eine oder die mehreren spiralförmigen Gewindegänge (720) bis zu einer Verbindungsstelle zwischen dem nicht verjüngten proximalen Abschnitt (750) und dem verjüngten distalen Abschnitt (752) erstrecken.
  11. Katheter nach einem der Ansprüche 8 bis 10, wobei sich die äußere Umhüllung (741) bis zu der Verbindungsstelle zwischen dem nicht verjüngten proximalen Abschnitt (750) und dem verjüngten distalen Abschnitt (752) erstreckt.
  12. Katheter nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 11, wobei die äußere Umhüllung (741) ein thermoplastisches Elastomer umfasst, das konfiguriert ist, um auf Erwärmung hin zu schrumpfen.
  13. Katheter nach Anspruch 12, wobei das thermoplastische Elastomer eine Durometer-Härte von etwa 50 D bis etwa 60 D aufweist.
  14. Katheter nach einem der Ansprüche 12 oder 13, wobei eine Schmelztemperatur des thermoplastischen Elastomers etwa 126,7°C bis etwa 182,2°C beträgt.
  15. Katheter nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 14, wobei der eine oder die mehreren spiralförmigen Gewindegänge ein Polymerelement einschließen, das um die Polymerabdeckung gewickelt ist.
