Definitions
- the invention is directed to a neutralizing body, also called lighter, for the removal of mines, ammunition, pyrotechnic ammunition or objects.
- the invention also relates to a kit for the production or creation of the neutralization body.
- the ammunition destruction etc. is often done by initiating selbiger. As a rule, cutting and shaped charges are used. Pyrotechnic ammunition or open-access explosives are ignited in so-called EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) igniters. To eliminate ammunition in the "low-order” method pyrotechnic igniters are used to break the outer shell of an ammunition and ignite the explosives therein, so that it can burn off safely.
- EOD Exposive Ordnance Disposal
- a container containing this composition has circumferentially a slot which is covered by a rupturable material.
- the US 3,109,369 A describes a device for removing coated explosives. This includes a container for receiving a thermite charge. Bottom side, a narrow opening is closed with a cap, which is destroyed when the charge ignites.
- Such devices have a low flexibility.
- the charge is ignited in use and burns off the tip. This can cause that here no constant distance to the ammunition, etc. is maintained, with the disadvantage that not all the energy of the pyrotechnic charge is applied to the ammunition. As a consequence, the performance fades with the burning time.
- a neutralization body which consists of two bodies, which are set into each other, to each other rotatable. With this body, a lateral longitudinal slot or a selective exit in the ground can be adjusted.
- active material a thermite charge is also preferred here, which burns off particularly hot and energetically by additives. Such Neutralisationsêt have proven in practice.
- the invention has the object to show a device which when burning a constant distance to the ammunition, etc., which is to be destroyed, has.
- the invention is based on the idea to bring different covers as trays with different nozzle shapes for use on a neutralizing body in order to serve different scenarios can. That is, by means of the different nozzle shapes in the lid (or in the floor), it is possible to act on the different scenarios promising and tuned to this.
- the geometry of the nozzle should be matched to the use or a desired burnup. In particular, the choice of the nozzle shape can still be made on site, tunable to the object to be destroyed itself, to which the cover or the floor is made interchangeable.
- the nozzles are preferably introduced in an exchangeable floor.
- a nozzle for centering the power on a point (point nozzle). With this point alignment thick ammunition hulls etc. (object) can be penetrated. The ignition of the explosives contained in the casings and the burning over the entire firing time are ensured.
- Another other nozzle or nozzle shape is used e.g. for generating a fan-shaped beam.
- the energy is introduced in the form of a line in the object.
- This nozzle can be used, for example, to open ammunition casings with a lower casing thickness. The initiation of the combustion of the explosive takes place over a larger area.
- the object can also be dispensed with.
- the neutralization body may be open on one side.
- the explosive is pressed into a container of aluminum or the like, for example, which is surrounded by a steel container of the neutralization body.
- the explosive may also be accommodated directly in the steel container, if necessary also by pressing in.
- composition of the pyrotechnic compound (explosive) is chosen so that on the one hand a very high heat development for penetration of materials and for the ignition of explosives is developed. On the other hand, the set develops gases during combustion, which support the removal of the casing material.
- a metallic fuel and an oxidizing agent eg, magnesium and potassium nitrate
- an oxidizing agent eg, magnesium and potassium nitrate
- gas-forming components eg., A mixture of iron oxide, magnesium, potassium nitrate and a binder
- the charge itself preferably has an inner channel. Through this channel, the energy can be targeted in the area of the bottom-side (or cover-side) blow-out (nozzle) are performed.
- the bottom area and / or the lid area should be protected by a ceramic or clay insert or the like against the strong heat (temperature range ⁇ 2800 ° C), so that no further particularly unwanted exhaust openings arise.
- an anti-rotation device should be integrated. This may be on the bottom side existing pins or knobs on the container, so that the body can not be moved away from the desired position. Alternatively or additionally, eyelets for attaching lashing straps, straps, ropes, knitting, straps, etc. may be provided for connecting the lighter to the object to be destroyed (object).
- a neutralizing body which consists of at least a cover with igniter, a shell, a pyrotechnic set held in the shell and a detachable from the shell bottom with a nozzle.
- Different floors have different nozzle shapes.
- the shapes of the nozzle may be punctiform, fan-shaped, cross-shaped, quadrangular, elliptical, oval, etc.
- the floor can be replaced with another floor.
- another cross-section or another geometric shape of the nozzle on the neutralization body be attached. This makes it possible to respond to the givenness of the objects / objects to be destroyed by an individual specification and to influence the success.
- a kit or system for the neutralization body therefore provides at least several trays with the different nozzles. These can be attached as intended to the container of the neutralization body. An exchange is planned.
- Fig. 1 is a neutralization body 1 with a cover 2, a shell 3 and a pyrotechnic sentence 4 shown in a sectional view.
- the pyrotechnic composition 5 forms a channel 5.
- a replaceable bottom is identified by a nozzle 7.
- This replaceable bottom 2 can be attached to the shell 3.
- the attachment can be made by means of screwing, Verklippsung etc. Sufficient can also be a bayonet connection.
- the active material or pyrotechnic composition 4 is a mixture to choose, which burns very hot and energetically.
- the shell 3 of the neutralization body 1 can be round, angular, oval, elliptical, etc., with no restrictions being provided. The same applies to the shape of the exchangeable trays 6, which, however, should be adapted to the geometric shape of the casing.
- the exchangeable trays 6 may in turn have different geometric nozzle shapes.
- FIGS. 2 and 3 only excerpts show two possible forms.
- Fig. 2 shows a hole nozzle 7.1
- Fig. 3 a fan nozzle 7.2.
- the nozzles 7 are introduced into the bottom 7 and form corresponding recesses (openings) in the respective bottom 6.
- Fig. 4 shows the neutralizing body 1 in use.
- the ignition device 8 in the lid 2 the ignition of the pyrotechnic charge 4 is initiated.
- the pyrotechnic composition 4 burns from the inside to the outside, ie, from the channel 5 to the shell 3.
- An emerging flame is blown down via the nozzle 7 (7.1, 7.2) from the bottom 2 of the neutralization body 1. In this case, a constant distance to be destroyed object 9 is maintained.
- a dot nozzle 7.1 serves to center the power to a point.
- different floors 6 can be provided with point nozzles 7.1 with different diameters.
- a fan nozzle 7.2 can be used to generate a fan-shaped jet. Again, several floors 6 with fan nozzles 7.2 different lengths / cross sections of the slot of the fan nozzles 7.2 belong to the kit.
- a dot nozzle 7.1 can be exchanged for example against a fan nozzle 7.2 and vice versa.
- the bottom 6 is removed with the point nozzle 7.1 of the shell and a bottom 6 with a fan nozzle 7.2 attached to the shell 3.
- the geometry in the bottoms 6 can also be crosses, ellipses, quadrilaterals, ovals, etc., wherein these bottoms 6 can also be connected to the neutralization body 1 in an exchangeable manner.
- a floor 6 can be dispensed with. This ensures that a high degree of energy is deliberately provided in order to damage the object 9, to ignite or the like.
- anti-rotation pins or knobs 10 are attached to the shell 3 at least bottom end side.

Abstract
Description

GB 2 312 864 A - Die
- Fig. 1
- einen Neutralisierungskörper in einer Schnittdarstellung,

Fig. 1 in Funktion. - In
Fig. 2 zeigt eine Lochdüse 7.1,Fig. 3 eine Fächerdüse 7.2.
-
Fig. 4 zeigt die Neutralisierungskörper 1 im Einsatz.
