Definitions

  • the invention relates to an operating device for a household appliance, with an electronic display panel, and an operating element which is movable relative to the display panel for setting operating conditions of the household appliance. Furthermore, the invention relates to a household appliance with a corresponding operating device.
  • Operating devices for household appliances for example ovens, washing machines, tumble dryers, dishwashers or the like, are known in a wide variety of configurations.
  • touch-sensitive operating devices with touch areas are also known, such as operating elements in the form of rotary switches, push switches, and thus operating elements that have to be moved relative to a display unit in order to set operating conditions.
  • a generic control device is from the WO 2012/080156 A1 known.
  • a control knob which has a bell-shaped configuration.
  • a rotatable part is connected via springs and locking balls to a holding element, locking recesses for locking the balls being formed on a jacket region of a central part of the rotatable element of the control knob.
  • an operating device is known in which an annular front part can be placed on a further ring and there is a coupling in the axial direction by immersing spherical elements in a recess formed on an underside of the partial element of the outer ring.
  • the control element is constructed in several parts and has a slide ring and an annular front part resting thereon.
  • An essential idea of the invention is to be seen in the fact that the front part and the slide ring are coupled to a guide and that the front part can be rotated relative to the slide ring by the guide. With this configuration, the front part can be secured against falling out and still be rotated smoothly.
  • the guide has a groove open in the radial direction of the front part and comprises at least one engagement element for engagement in the groove. This is a simple coupling for securing the front part and is nevertheless permanently functional and enables the front part to be turned smoothly.
  • the engagement element When viewed in the radial direction of the slide ring and in the radial direction of the front part, the engagement element is designed to be resilient. This is particularly advantageous in that the coupling and decoupling are made possible without destruction and the relative movement of the front part relative to the slide ring is also smooth and compensatingly allowed without excessive friction occurring during turning and thus the turning movement would be bulky.
  • the engagement element In the coupled state with the groove, the engagement element is arranged biased in the groove, in particular arranged radially biased therein.
  • the play-free guidance is particularly favored and enables a very precise and precise rotary movement.
  • the groove on the front part is formed on a radially inner jacket side of the front part.
  • the slide ring has a slide plate, which, viewed in the axial direction of the operating element, is arranged behind the front part, the slide ring having a holding web which extends in the axial direction overlapping with the front part, at least one radially extending engagement element being formed on the holding web which extends in the radial direction into the groove.
  • the slide ring is preferably arranged stationary on the control panel.
  • the slide ring is glued or welded to the control panel or hot-caulked. This favors the relative movability of the front part with respect to the slide ring and achieves the very precise and play-free guidance of the front part and provides a mechanically stable and permanent position-secure arrangement.
  • the control element has a front part, which preferably has an inwardly inclined upper side.
  • This front part is movable relative to the display panel.
  • the ring shape of the front part and in particular the inwardly inclined upper side ensures that it can be touched and actuated by a finger of a user with particular ease of movement and target safety.
  • the rotation of the annular front part can be carried out very precisely by a user.
  • the front part has a full circular surface which is inclined inwards and thus quasi represents a full funnel.
  • An electronic display panel is understood to mean, in particular, a display on which information can be displayed in a dynamically changing manner. This can be information comprising letters and / or numbers and / or symbols.
  • the control element is basically designed as a ring.
  • a shape as a full cylinder or the like is therefore no longer provided.
  • material can be saved in this way, and with regard to the basic operating principle, this can be designed in such a way that the cylinder of the control knob to be gripped on its casing side in comparison to the prior art is no longer present here, but rather the front or top of it annular front part is touched by a user and then this front part is rotated.
  • another surface is provided for the user to touch and the associated movement of the control element.
  • the ring shape results in a very suitable shape in that an operating element is provided which has a relatively large diameter. This can be larger than conventional cylindrical control knobs.
  • the control element according to the invention can then be brought very precisely into a desired rotational position for setting desired operating conditions.
  • This is not possible with conventional cylindrical control elements.
  • the conventional cylindrical control knobs are designed so that their diameter is made smaller, so that the front of such cylindrical control knobs is also relatively small and, due to the force paths, is then very difficult or impossible to turn with regard to contact with a finger can.
  • the control element is preferably designed as a rotary selector. This means that the operating conditions then assigned and desired can be selected and / or set by setting different rotary positions.
  • Setting operating conditions generally includes both the selection of functional subunits of a household appliance and the setting of values of operating parameters of these functional subunits.
  • the operation of the cooking space or a cooking zone can be provided for an oven as a functional subunit.
  • an operating parameter for example the temperature, the cooking zone or the cooking space can be set accordingly.
  • the ring-shaped front part is in particular touching the slide ring.
  • the slide ring is made of a specific material that promotes the mobility of the ring-shaped front part with as little friction as possible. This enables a particularly smooth and user-friendly rotation of the front part.
  • conventional and known polymer materials can be provided which have particularly low friction.
  • control element designed as a ring has magnets, an associated operating setting of the household appliance being able to be detected in interaction of the magnets with fixed metal elements, in particular an annular metal spider, depending on a relative movement of the ring, in particular the annular front part, to the metal elements.
  • the magnets can preferably be attached to the back of the front part or embedded therein. The rotational position of this front part relative to the metal elements, in particular the annular metal spider, can thus be detected on the basis of this interaction and evaluated by a control unit of the operating device.
  • the metal elements are arranged on the back of a cover that at least partially covers the front of the display panel.
  • the diameter is preferably substantially the same as the diameter of the slide ring and / or the annular front part.
  • the metal spider preferably has a thickness of less than 1 mm, preferably 0.7 mm. It is preferably embedded or arranged in a recess on the back of the cover. The flat design of the control device is favored. On the other hand, the metal spider is held securely and mechanically stable.
  • control element designed as a ring is designed to be permeable to light in the spectral range visible to humans at least in some areas.
  • additional optical information can be passed on to a user.
  • an operating condition can also be optically indicated. It can be provided that the annular front part can be completely backlit, or that only ring sections can be backlit accordingly.
  • control element is embedded in a plate-shaped cover arranged in front of the display panel and in particular permeable to the light of the display panel.
  • This cover is therefore multifunctional, since on the one hand it acts as a carrier for the control element and this control element takes up space-minimized space. On the other hand, it serves as protection for the display panel, so that it is protected against wear or damage. Due to the translucent design, a particularly space-minimized arrangement can also be provided with regard to the surface dimensions.
  • the annular front part in particular at least its outer edge, projects above the top of the cover, in particular less than 1.5 mm, in particular less than 1 mm.
  • the movement control is particularly favored and user-friendly by this configuration of the control element.
  • the control element which is designed as a ring, is preferably arranged in a groove which is open to the front in the axial direction in the front of the cover. This means that in particular the annular front part and the sliding ring are arranged in this front groove. This also allows their positioning to be mechanically favored and to be performed particularly well with regard to the relative rotary movement.
  • a groove is formed on the outside or front of this cover, in which the slide ring and the annular front part are arranged sunk.
  • a groove in which the metal spider is positioned is preferably congruent on the back of this cover.
  • the cover has a completely continuous recess.
  • the named components of the operating element can then be introduced into this hole recess and a rear cover, for example a sheet metal or a plastic part, can be provided, which then closes the construction from the rear. It can also be provided that a further corresponding glass part is then introduced and fastened into this hole, the components of the operating element mentioned then being arranged therein.
  • the cover is a glass plate.
  • This thickness on the one hand creates sufficient mechanical stability for embedding the components of the control element, and on the other hand enables a design which is nevertheless so thin that on the one hand good permeability of the optical signals of the display panel is made possible and the overall depth of the cover is minimized.
  • the top of the annular front part of the operating element is made of metal.
  • a metal layer can be applied here.
  • the front part is made entirely of metal. In the case of a design with a metallic upper side, a high-quality impression is given on the one hand, and low wear is ensured on the other hand.
  • the movable control element is arranged at least in regions within the surface area of the electronic display panel.
  • the information to be displayed can be changed in at least one field area of the display field depending on the movement of the operating element.
  • different menu interfaces can be displayed on the electronic display panel.
  • the menu interfaces can be selected and selected depending on the rotary position of the control element. It can it can also be provided that the menu surfaces that are basically displayed are then displayed with further menu contents when selected by a specific rotary position of the control element. It is preferably provided that a menu surface to be displayed can be displayed on the display panel around the control element.
