  • the unwinding rolls 1, 2 have to move with the same law of motion as the first rolls 3 and the second rolls 4 to avoid ripping or lacerating the sheet 5.   • the cropping means 8, in particular the blade means 8a carry out their outward travel X from their lowered position to the raised position during which they penetrate through the sheet 5 in correspondence with the cutting line 34, 134.
  • the blade means 8a after a short stop with a duration T, carry out their return travel Y from their raised position to their lowered position during which they again pass through the sheet 5.
  • the work cycle of the apparatus 20 has been completed, and has obtained a blank 30, 130.
  • the apparatus 20 also comprises a control and management unit 36, 37, which allows to adjust the functioning of the apparatus 20, that is, in particular, to drive, advantageously step-wise, the drive means 14, 17, 26 so as to coordinate the movement of the unwinding rolls 1, 2 with that of the first and second rolls 3, 4 and that of the cropping means 8 according to the functioning of the apparatus 20 described above.
  • a control and management unit 36, 37 which allows to adjust the functioning of the apparatus 20, that is, in particular, to drive, advantageously step-wise, the drive means 14, 17, 26 so as to coordinate the movement of the unwinding rolls 1, 2 with that of the first and second rolls 3, 4 and that of the cropping means 8 according to the functioning of the apparatus 20 described above.
  • an apparatus 20 it is possible to obtain an apparatus 20 to achieve blanks 30, 130, in particular to form an internal casing (or "collar") for a packet for smoking articles, which is very flexible.
  • the apparatus 20 can obtain blanks 30, 130 having any desired length L, simply by replacing the first portion 3a, the so-called "format part", of the first rolls 3 with another first portion suitable for the blank to be made.
  • the first portion 3a will be replaced in such a way that the cutter means 9 which it is provided with extend circumferentially for an arc having a length substantially equal to length L of the blank to be produced, keeping the external diameter D1 constant.
  • the apparatus 20 does not oblige the operator to entirely replace the etching and/or cutting means 3, 4 for every different length of the blank, because it is enough to replace the first portion 3a, without this causing a variation in the diameter of the first rolls 3. Therefore, it is no longer necessary to replace the second rolls 4 as well.
  • This entails a considerable reduction in costs, because it is not necessary to have available a large number of first and second rolls 3, 4, in particular equal to the number of different types of blanks to be made with the apparatus.
  • the first and second rolls 3, 4 are replaced by a punch and counter-punch, the punch being provided with the cutter elements that etch and/or cut the sheet.
  • the punch is mobile between an operating position in which the cutter elements with which it is provided interact with the sheet, and an inactive position in which they do not interact with the sheet.
  • the punch acts in the same way as the first rolls 3 of the apparatus 20 shown, and comprises a first portion, called “format part", removably attached to a second portion by attachment means of a known type.
  • the cutter elements are made on the first portion, which faces the sheet and the counter-punch.
  • the cutter elements have a shape and sizes that are a function of the blank to be obtained.
  • the cutter elements will extend longitudinally for a length substantially equal to the length L of the blank.
  • This variant of the apparatus operates with intermittent functioning. Therefore, when the unwinding rolls rotate, they feed the sheet forward by a quantity equal to the length L at every step, and afterward, while they are in the pause step, the punch moves from the inactive position to the operating position, in which the cutter elements with which it is provided etch and/or cut the sheet. Furthermore, again while the unwinding rolls are stationary, after etching and/or cutting the sheet the punch returns to the inactive position, and the cropping means crop the sheet in correspondence with cutting lines that separate two adjacent blanks, so as to achieve a blank separate from the sheet from which it was obtained.

Claims (6)

  1. Verfahren zum Herstellen von Formlingen (30; 130) mit einer Länge (L) ausgehend von einem Blatt (5) von Material, aufweisend zumindest einen Zuführschritt, während dessen das Blatt (5) gemäß einer intermittierenden schrittweisen Bewegung vorgerückt wird mittels Zuführmitteln (1, 2), schrittweise zugeführt in einer Zuführrichtung (A), einen Ätz- und/oder Schneidschritt, während dessen Ätzungen (31; 131) und/oder Längsschnitte (32; 132, 135) an dem Blatt (5) gemacht werden parallel zu der Zuführrichtung (A) mittels Ätz- und Schneidmitteln (3, 4), die aufweisen wenigstens eine erste Rolle (3), die mit Schneidmitteln (9) versehen ist und die einer zweiten Rolle (4) zugeordnet ist, die parallel zu der ersten Rolle (3) ist, und einen Trennschritt, während dessen der Formling (30; 130) von dem Blatt (5) getrennt wird mittels Abscherungsmitteln (8),
    wobei der Ätz- und/oder Schneidschritt vorliegt während des Zuführschritts und aufweist:
    einen ersten Unterschritt, in welchem die erste Rolle (3) und die zweite Rolle (4) von einer anfänglichen Winkelposition (B) aus zu einer finalen Winkelposition (D) rotieren und die Schneidmittel (9) das Blatt (5) längs ätzen und/oder schneiden korrespondierend zu einem Schneidbereich, während eines Spezifische-Berührung-Unterschritts der ersten Rolle (3) und der zweiten Rolle (4),
    einen anderen Unterschritt, in welchem die erste Rolle (3) und die zweite Rolle (4) von der finalen Winkelposition (D) aus zu einer Winkelposition des Nicht-Eingriffs (E) rotieren, in welcher die Schneidmittel (9) von dem Blatt (5) außer Eingriff sind und das Blatt (5) nicht ätzen und/oder schneiden, dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    dass, nach dem Erreichen der Nicht-Eingriffs-Position (E), die erste Rolle (3) und die zweite Rolle (4) rotieren, um zu der anfänglichen Winkelposition (B) zurückzukehren,
    dass, während der Rotation der ersten Rolle (3), um zu der anfänglichen Winkelposition (B) zurückzukehren, die Zuführmittel (1, 2) rotiert werden in eine Richtung (Z) umgekehrt zu der vorausgehenden, sodass das Blatt (5) zurückgeholt wird um eine Quantität (L'), die im Wesentlichen gleich ist zu jener, die während der Rotation der ersten Rolle (3) ausgehend von der finalen Winkelposition (D) zu der Nicht-Eingriffs-Position (E) durchgeführt wurde,
    und dass die Zuführmittel (1, 2) und daher das Blatt (5) gestoppt und stationär gehalten werden in einer Pause-Position (S) bis die erste Rolle (3) die anfängliche Winkelposition (B) erreicht.
  2. Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass während des ersten Unterschritts und während des anderen Unterschritts die erste Rolle (3), die zweite Rolle (4) und die Zuführmittel (1, 2) rotiert werden gemäß dem gleichen Bewegungsgesetz, gesteuert von Steuer- und Befehlsmitteln (36) .
  3. Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Blatt (5) durch die Zuführmittel (1, 2) von einer Spule (11) abgewickelt wird, wobei, während des ersten Unterschritts und des anderen Unterschritts von der finalen Winkelposition (D) aus zu der Nicht-Eingriffs-Position (E), die Zuführmittel (1, 2) sich mit dem gleichen Bewegungsgesetz drehen wie die erste Rolle (3) und die zweite Rolle (4), um ein Reißen oder Aufschlitzen des Blatts (5) zu vermeiden, wodurch von der Spule (11) eine größere Quantität (L') von Material abgewickelt wird als die Länge (L) des Formlings (30, 130), gleich der Quantität, die während der Rotation der ersten Rolle (3) und der zweiten Rolle (4) von der finalen Winkelposition (D) zu der Nicht-Eingriffs-Position (E) abgewickelt wurde.
  4. Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 1, 2 oder 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass wenigstens eine erste Rolle (3) eine Außenfläche (19) hat, wobei die Schneidmittel (9) an der Außenfläche (19) bereitgestellt sind und eine oder mehrere Schneiden (21, 22, 23) haben, die korrespondierend zu einer Winkelposition (18) der ersten Rolle (3) gemacht sind, wobei die eine oder mehreren Schneiden (21, 22, 23) eine Umfangslänge (L1, L2) haben, die zu einer Länge (L) des Formlings (30, 130) korreliert.
  5. Verfahren gemäß irgendeinem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Schneidmittel (9) Längs-Ätzungen und/oder Längs-Schnitte durchführen.
  6. Verfahren gemäß irgendeinem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass während des Pause-Schritts der Zuführmittel (1, 2) in der Pause-Position (S), während die erste und die zweite Rolle (3, 4) zu der anfänglichen Winkelposition (B) zurückkehren, ohne das Blatt (5) zu berühren, die Abscherungsmittel (8), die Klingenmittel (8a) aufweisen, eine Auswärtsbewegung (X) durchführen von einer Abgesenkt-Position aus, in welcher die Klingenmittel (8a) nicht mit dem Formling (30, 130) interagieren, zu einer Angehoben-Position, in welcher die Klingenmittel (8a) mit dem Formling (30, 130) interagieren, um jeden Formling (30, 130) von dem Blatt (5) zu trennen, von welchem sie erlangt worden sind, wobei während der Auswärtsbewegung (X) die Klingenmittel (8a) durch das Blatt (5) hindurchdringen korrespondierend zu einer Schneidlinie (34, 134) und danach, sobald die Klingenmittel (8a) ihr Bewegungsende erreicht haben, die Klingenmittel (8a), nach einem kurzem Stopp mit einer Dauer (T), eine Rückkehrbewegung (Y) von ihrer Angehoben-Position aus zu ihrer Abgesenkt-Position durchführen, während welcher die Klingenmittel (8a) wieder durch das Blatt (5) hindurch passieren, wobei an diesem Punkt der Arbeitszyklus des Verfahrens komplettiert ist, den Formling (30, 130) erlangt habend.
